Éponine goes to sleep, and when she wakes up, everyone seems to think her name is Éponine Thénardier. As Éponine continues on, she slowly starts to forget her true identity. But would Éponine really give her life. . . For her father?

Victoire Laurents is well off compared to some in Paris. She has a roof over her head, a loving father, and has her dinner more often than most. Still, she and her father are just scraping by. As she's selling her bread in the street one day, she listens to a protest that fascinates and terrifies her... Les Misérables told from the point of view of my original characters, Victoire Laurents and Couer de Droit. I do not own Les Misérables, however my original characters are my own. I've never known my mother. Nor my father. The only one I had with me was Feuilly. He has been like my own brother, a mother, and also a father. She joins the community of Les Amis de L'abc from the suggestion from Feuilly and falls in love with Jean Prouvaire. Their romance bloom but the wind of the June Rebellion rushes in and she has to choose between the two things; love for Jehan or her freedom.

Marius Pontmercy (French pronunciation: ​[maʁjys pɔ̃mɛʁsi]) is a fictional character, one of the protagonists of Victor Hugo's 1862 novel Les Misérables. He is a young student, and the suitor of Cosette. Believing Cosette lost to him, and determined to die, he joins the revolutionary association Friends of the ABC, which he associates with, but is not a part of, as they take part in the 1832 June Rebellion. Facing death in the fight, his life is saved by Jean Valjean, and he subsequently weds Cosette, a young woman whom Valjean had raised as his own. Cover by: @Theygotgone

In this story the lyrical and poetic conceptions of the great Victor Hugo on love are approached by taking and using some of his literary pearls on this subject, in a background like Alejo Carpentier, famous Cuban writer who always used an expressive musical background for his works transposed in this case to popular music, the whole story is tinged with humorous nuances, multicultural and sometimes even rude but very picturesque and humorous nuances that nuance the common speech or national slang used in the marginal neighborhoods of the island of Cuba. In this way, the serious and humorous, the cultured and the popular, philosophy and religion and Victor's pearls concur here with Carpentier's sonority in a background of popular music.

Fantine is a fictional character in Victor Hugo's 1862 novel Les Misérables. She is a young orphaned grisette in Paris who becomes pregnant by a rich student. After he abandons her, she is forced to look after their child, Cosette, on her own. Originally a pretty and naïve girl, Fantine is eventually forced by circumstances to become a prostitute, selling her hair and front teeth, losing her beauty and health. The money she earns is sent to support her daughter. Fantine became an archetype of self-abnegation and devoted motherhood. Possibly due to her status as an orphan, Hugo never labels her with a surname. Élise was born into a decent, middle class family, but with her father's death and her brother drinking and gambling away his small inheritance, she moved to Paris, in hope of finding better prospects. With rents going up and wages going down, she eventually ends up living, and then almost dying on the streets, before being rescued by two young medical students. With an introduction to Les Amis de l'A.B.C., she finds the world opening up before her again, and discovers her place in it. Based primarily on Victor Hugo's novel, with some reference to the musical and the 2012 film. Some parts also inspired by Henry Mayhew's London Labour and the London Poor. I will confess myself to be more of a historian than an author, and as such, this book is primarily an attempt to bring some history into a retelling of the aspect of Les Miserables that seems to have captured so many people's imaginations - that is to say, the June Rebellion of 1832 and the lead up to it. {Enjolras x OC}

Jean Valjean is the protagonist of Victor Hugo's 1862 novel Les Misérables. Hugo depicts the character's 19-year-long struggle to lead a normal life after serving a prison sentence for stealing bread to feed his sister's children during a time of economic depression and various attempts to escape from prison. Valjean is also known in the novel as Monsieur Madeleine, Ultime Fauchelevent, Monsieur Leblanc, and Urbain Fabre. Valjean and Police Inspector Javert, who repeatedly encounters Valjean and attempts to return him to prison, have become archetypes in literary culture. In the popular imagination, the character of Jean Valjean came to represent both Hugo himself and leftist sentiment.
