1939, Poland. Germany has invaded Poland and captured Krakow. Some are hopeful that things can continue the way they were. Others know that things will never be the same. Janek Sadowski is a jazz pianist in Krakow. The memory of what happened the day the Germans took Krakow still haunts him, no matter how much he tries to get back to normal, like his wife and the other members of their jazz quartet seem to have. However, when the people around them start to disappear and he learns of a dangerous secret, he realizes that nobody around him has moved on from what happened. And now, it's his turn to fight the powers that be. The battle for Krakow might be over, but the war is just beginning. And Janek is about to find himself right in the middle of it.

(this is a gay love story) So this is a story about an american boy with blonde hair and blue eyes named Carlson Campbell, who had fell in love with his British childhood best friend with white hair and bright blue eyes, finn Clarke who had moved away from America to UK, who was also known as the greatest and well known pianist in the world, Carlson had always wished he would be able to meet his childhood best friend again, and wanting to see his best friend on stage, and also wanting finn to see himself on stage......

~Inspired by Billy Joel's "Piano Man"~ 21 Year Old Erica Wells is a girl known for playing her beloved violin in a cafe every Saturday. What happens when she relives her memories and connotations of a few of her regular listeners? This is a short story that I wrote in a creative writing class that I took my freshman year. As I read it again, I realized that I was pretty proud of it and that maybe it deserved to see the light of day. Enjoy!
