Everett grew up thinking her father was dead-lost in the chaos after the world fell apart and after her mother, Lucille, died. Separated during the early days of the apocalypse, she survived alone until Daryl found her in the woods looking half-starved, beaten and unconscious while looking for Carol's daughter Sophia. He became her protector, her teacher, her family-the closest thing she's had to father in awhile. Years later, fate turns cruel: captured with Rick's group, Everett is forced in the lineup and comes face to face with the most feared man that has entire communities terrified. Negan is death with a smile-barbed wire, blood and terror wrapped into a man you don't want to cross.

A chance encounter with a stranger is all it takes. Eventually, she finds her own forever family. One she'll gladly die for to protect. The downside is, it includes 'The Man'. The one who drives her absolutely, up the wall crazy....in more ways than one! This is her life and adventures. I hope you'll all come along on her biggest journey of them all. That is when she meets a group of people and gets to meet a boy who will be her greatest weakness and greatest strength.

If you want an instant badass character who's thrown into a situation one couldn't even imagine yet instantly knows what to do and has comebacks stashed away in her pockets, then this fanfiction isn't for you. But if you want a fanfiction that respect Robert Kirkman's character development methods, focusing on how changing times change people, for better and for worse, than this is one you'll probably enjoy. I've tried to make her as realistic to the show as possible, someone you could imagine actually being apart of it. Rose Walsh, the daughter of Shane, has been living in a camp in Atlanta since the outbreak, along with a small group of surviving, getting by day-to-day. Only one day was different from the rest, when her dad's best friend and partner, Rick Grimes returned. Surviving in a world where the dead comes back and eat the living, the fact they aren't even the worst enemy, is the most frightening things. It's not the dead they grow to fear, it's the living. Especially after the death of her father, she loses herself and faith in all those around her, finding it hard to keep pushing forwards.
