Go Yerim is a foreign exchange student who moved to Japan on her first year of High School. Her mentor being a Pro Volleyball Player recommend her to learn the Japanese technique by moving there full time. Already having a good reputation she's acknowledged as one of the best female volleyball players in the japanese high school league. Here's the thing, the girl is the biggest wallflower and fujoshi(girls who like to read romantic relationships between boys or yaoi manga). She has always had a hard time making friends due to her lack of confidence and fear of judgement of her weird hobby. Too bad her secret was exposed and everyone in the male and female volleyball teams knew about it. But to her surprise Kenma Kozume, a quiet introverted setter for the boys team doesn't seem to care. Yerim falls for his kindness and is to determined to win his heart-one problem though. . She can barely say two words to boys, nonetheless Kenma?! "Yerim. Let me ask you something?" "Eh, o-okay. . ." She nods shyly. "Do you want something to happen between you two?" The girl blushed and nods once again. "I've never felt something like this, not even in Korea." She looks down and kicks the air. Before Sam left for Fall semester Charlie told her about his letters. He also gave Sam his pen pal address if she wanted to talk to someone that didn't knew her personally. So now she writes letters to Charlie and his friend.

Hera is perfectly content with her life. To an outsider she may look like a loner and a wall flower but to Hera her life was exactly what she wanted. That is until her parents go for a one year job trip and tells Hera that she is going to be living with her cousins. Now she has to leave her quite life and attend a new school. A place where she will be labeled the 'New Kid' and have all the attention on her, something she hates. As if that wasn't bad enough, Hera also piques the interest of the most popular kid in school. This only adds to the attention she gets and she soon realizes this attention is a lot worse. Now Hera must avoid the limelight including the persistent boy but, shes starts to wonder, should she listen to her new friends who keep telling her "don't cut the red string".

When Natalie moves to California in hopes of making a turn on her life, she has to move in with her abusive father. She goes to a new school, trying to be a simple wallflower, but of coarse, a new school means a new group of populars, bullies, and teachers. She wrote poems everyday without fail. Did he read them? No one knows. What did they say inside? A burning fire of confessions. Why did she write them? For love. Competition between the friends because the last one failed miserably.
