The self realization of a girl who falls from the top of a building.

PROLOG BUM! Mejanya diterajang sehingga bertemu dinding. Berhinggut (tak sesuai guna perkataan ini) bahu Nur. Ketar seluruh badan sebaik saja matanya bertentang dengan sepasang mata Annisha. Sikit pun Nur tidak berani bergerak. Namun, tubir matanya hangat. "Hoi, perempuan!" Terteleng kepala Nur. Mata berkerdip-kerdip. Langsung dia tidak berani memandang Anisha. Sempat dia mengerling minta pertolongan pada kawan sekelasnya. Semuanya senyap. Bum! Buk!

Let's talk about my very first kill. I was a child back then. No... a baby. My mother died at childbirth. Father spent all his life blaming me for her death. He was a drunkard. Beat me regularly. By age ten, I killed him. Maybe I was wrong to do it. Or maybe you just don't see things as I do. You see this Managed Democracy thing. It's wrong, it's tyranny. I kill because I had to. Because we're tired of living under your thumb. I fight for freedom. I kill because it's right. And I'll never stop killing until we're free. I'm a natural born killer.

Then school began today after long pleasant summer holidays. It was tormenting for me to go to school again. I waited for my bus at the bus stop. It arrived and I stepped into the bus. He was sitting there with his friends they all were having fun. I am not very fond of his friends but today I gathered courage to walk upto him. They all stopped doing and their gaze fixated on me. Especially him , I know he knows ? Do I really know that he knows ? I do not know. ' Happy Birthday Abhimanyu .' I said without fumbling as if I have not practised that countless times standing in front of mirror. Say something. Say something or do not say should I go ? Should I stay ? I do not know what to do. ' Thank You , Akira .' He knows my name. Ofcourse , silly you grew up in same neighborhood. He grinned while replying to me it was very formal yet it was not insignificant for me as I was pretending it to be. Does he knows that I would have sleepless nights over this simple gesture. No. I sat at my seat and they all began to tease him again. ' Hey , did Kavya wished you today ? That would make our boy's day very special. ' Sarthak teased him. ' No , apparently she has reached school early she will still be preparing for Independence Day even in zero period and when she did made a call I was having some business lesson with my father. So , I really have no issue '. His friends nudged him he was certainly blushing. ' I must say we make a good pair she is as ambitious I am although in different things but I like that about her.' I was gazing at him from behind keeping my chin on bench in front of me. Those words did not shatter me. I knew it was stupid teenage crush that will go away with time. Here I am still writing about it 12 years later.
