All while this is happening, the detective is slowly descending into madness following his fool's chase of this ghost serial killer along with his wife's death. A story built around the killer, with characters with their own storylines, the plot is more than meets the eye and the ending will leave you reeling. Because after all, if there's no beauty in death, what's the point of living?

Alex never quite felt like he really existed. Turns out he was right. This should not have caused him any anxiety. The first day at a new school was so common to him at this point that he should have felt completely calm. This time felt different. His mother had moved him to 14 schools over the last 5 years. This time at least was the first day of school for everyone for the school year. So, why did he feel so uneasy about this school?

Normal babysitting right? Nope. Cute energetic kid? Nope. Creepy haunted house? Check.

A short story entry into the Welcome to the Blumhouse contest (500 Words or less). The challenge was write a thriller scene that taps into a deep dark fear or unknown evil, taking the reader through a suspenseful scene and leaving them with a cliff hanger ending. :-) Hope you enjoy!

Short Story Thriller for #welcometotheblumhouse

in Dayton Ohio, in a little house is a Myth that little know about! the myth of a lady. It's called, The Lady's Room. Maria VonDue lived in that house in 1901, before she got Stabbed and slit in the throat. her picture got hung up in an empty room. it's said that whoever goes into that room, will suffer the same fate as Maria. though the house got token down in 2013 on account of the deaths. but people can still walk to the same exact spot where the room was and they will still suffer the same fate. whoever goes in to the room will die. whoever hears or knows about the room and the house will die.

What it means to fall apart inside your own head. The confusion leading up to the supposed death of a person, unknowingly self inflicted. (This character's qualities are left to the imagination, for you). The powers of ones mind are endless, and the self destructive force of imagination; ever-present.

A tale of fatal lovers

Nathalie and Emma are the best of friends. Some would say they're sisters. They've always stuck by each other, through thick and thin. One party wouldn't change any of that, right?
