read it and weep, all 'ye who enter here. beware of the terrors and turmoil of the unknown, for nothing is as I say, and most certainly nothing is as I do. I am in everything, living and dead, and haunt the dark corners of even the brightest day dreams.

Three kids decide to sneak into their school, feeling something was hidden beyond explanation as one had a vision about what lies beneath the grounds. But does their curiosity cost them their lives? Or do they get to tell the tale that would petrify their minds till the day they die? Who knows.

Gavin, trying to make money to get out of a high school he was bullied at, volunteers to test a new medicine for research scientist to get money. Jackson grew up hearing stories about a dog as black as night that appeared at an unfortunate families doorstep each year and kills them only days later. It stains its fur in its victims and returns every year when the red finally fades to black to drench its coat once again, so when a beautiful black German Shepard shows up at his door step Jackson is wary. Though after five months of the dogs company Jackson cant remember life without this beautiful mysteries dog, and can never imagine it being the killer dog of tales. * exactly 500 words * *published October 25th 2020*
