Viola Holmes has always wondered if her life was supposed to be like this. Her father is the famous Sherlock Holmes who never has time for her (except for cases) and her mother, Irene Adler, left her when she was very young. Solving cases, fighting with her dad, secretly having emotions towards Michael, it's all the same to her. But when she meets John's daughter and gets a mysterious text leading her to the pool where Carl Powers died, she realises that her life might just be a retelling of her dad's, and she doesn't want it to be. And still, there is so much more.

And again the popular detective and his blogger have to solve a difficult case in Forks, a small town in America. Corpses were found, without any blood left. The only clue are wounds in form of bites. The case is known as the "vampire mass murder ".
