This is a non-fiction piece I wrote for a workshop class while going for my Creative Writing Bachelors about my experience with The Camp Fire. The Camp Fire was California's deadliest wildfire (as of 2023, at least), with 85 casualties (1 person is still considered missing). The date I am publishing this on here is the 5th anniversary of that day.
