I rewrote a scene from A Midsummer Night's Dream during English as a horror story. The scene that I rewrote was Act 2, Scene 2.

A short piece written in 2013 for my high school assignment. The task was essentially write some Othello fanfiction about what happened before the events of Othello took place. I had originally uploaded it onto deviantART but since I don't really use it any more, thought I would add it here haha.

Everybody knows Juliets story. Or at least they think they do.

Once upon a time, there was a bad spin-off of Romeo and Juliet. It was set in a different universe, where Romeo and Mercutio were Verona's number one couple. They loved each other very much, and everybody adored their romance, all but one. Tybalt hated them. Or did he?

I think the title explains it enough.

On my way to that perfect land, my journey had never been easy. More of calamities than disasters. More of unwanted things than of human beings. Legs so heavy, and hearts beating as fast as bass drum being played at jams. Hmmm, never could I have imagined my life to be so complicated. I could see myself far away on an Island. Not even closer to a forest, where I could meet animals, or even to see a tree. What at all could make my life this way? Was it to give my heart a second chance to trust again? Or to run away from beautiful creatures just like me? ......no one will understand....... No matter how many times you've been betrayed, No matter how many times you've been left down, No matter how many times you've been heart broken, Just give yourself a second chance. Keep telling yourself "I trust once". Even though you've been betrayed a number of times. ........ think about this......... Didn't you learn from the person who made you down? Didn't you plan of freeing yourself from the one who wanted to destroy you? Then this should make you understand that, all things happen for a reason. They we're all meant to test the limit of your soul. If someone hurts you, betrays you, or breaks your heart, forgive them. For they have helped you learn more about trust and the importance of being cautious.... God bless you... Thank you ☺️

When I first discovered Shakespeare's poems and the beautiful language that he used I fell utterly in love with it and wanted to try writing in his style myself. I adored using the old English words and making the whole poem sound old-fashioned.
