A What If Novel following Wirt's choice to become the Lantern Bearer, forever entrapping Wirt inside The Unknown.

*WARNING* This story contains spoilers for the ending of the show Over the Garden Wall. Please proceed with caution. In a different turn of events, Wirt, desperate to save his younger brother Greg, decides to take the beast's deal. However, the beast's intentions were far more treacherous than he had expected. Rather than Greg's spirit being placed into the lantern, the spirit of the beast is placed inside - Wirt's spirit. With the role of the beast now given to Wirt, the identity of the previous beast is revealed. Now, with his brother taken over by the beast, Greg, with the help Beatrice and a few others, must find a way to bring Wirt back - or accept his terrible fate.

Strange things are happening in the Unknown. Troubles re-awaken and even the dwellers of the Unknown are becoming lost. Beatrice makes a life-changing decision that will affect not only her, but her entire family. Wirt and Greg must decide what to do about a recent tragedy: escape to the Unknown or stay back? Lorna finds a strange lantern and things begin to happen around the Unknown, Langtree encounters problems and Pottsfield is deserted... I never see any of these with Greg, so I don't know if anyone will read this, but I'm having fun writing it, so that's what matters. She couldn't get him out of her head the year after the trip the the unknown and found herself looking back at that boy at least once a day. She developed a crush on the boy she thought she'd never see again only to find out that boy is in her class and is sitting right next to her. What will reader-chan do ?

Wirt moves to Gravity Falls and is a pretty good book writer but is best known for his poetry novels. He then goes to a library and meets a Fanboy, Nerdy really cute librarian who calls him Mr. Poe. I ship it so if you don't like it don't read it. (Please keep in mind this isn't the best writting and I did make this when my writting was a bit more crappy I'm trying to get better I promise.)
