The saga of Joshua Matthews continues. In Part I Coming of Age, as a young boy Joshua has always been lucky to avoid trouble. He has slowly learned that he has the ability to deflect evil energy directed at him back at the perpetrator. In Part 2 Joshua has entered high school. And he has seen his special power grow and start to manifest itself into a formidable force. But he continues to wrestle with his ability to harness it. And he also wrestles with his ability to understand and interact with that alluring but mysterious opposite sex. Now in Part 3 our hero is off to college in Wisconsin. Again, he has to start over discovering the opposite sex. And he learns that Wisconsin college girls are much different than Indiana high school girls. And with Deflection, the uneasiness he sensed was coming while he was still in high school continues to loom and explodes into a momentous far-reaching event. And he experiences occurrences that demonstrate the true ability of Deflection. But he also gains a powerful enemy that puts his future in jeopardy. I will again guarantee that the reader will find himself/herself laughing out loud at times, as Joshua navigates his college years. And even if you were not alive in the 1960's you will continue to be treated to an excellent insight into that era. Janet Hamilton comes back with fears about what Van Heidt may be planning. Dawn returns because she couldn't stay away from the people she loves. And Wally Clark comes back for Maddie. As old mysteries resurface and new dangers begin to threaten Split River once again, Maddie and the others discover that some connections are strong enough to survive death itself - and that sometimes fate is willing to offer a second chance.

This is a short piece I wrote about my family's cabin in Wisconsin. We call it the lakehouse. It had to be sold a couple years ago, so I wrote this in memory of it.

The setting is central Wisconsin during the Great Depression. Like most towns, the inhabitants of Chandlers Bend are hanging on, making due with what little they have, waiting for the day when prosperity returns. Once a hub of robust rail traffic, now it simply became an X on the map the interlacement of two railroads, further split by a state highway. Those who stayed either lacked the good sense to leave or the resources to do so. Then one day a stranger arrived who had the resources to leave, but stayed and changed the town forever. But a town without tales ceases to survive.

Many people think love is ever lasting, but then there is Shakespeare. A person who was misread or that's what Sapphire had always thought. Many people think of Romeo and Juliet as a romantic story. And in Sapphire's little town many people believe that love is found in three minutes or less. Well except two people. Sapphire is someone who always kept to her dreams. She wants to be a doctor, and she is a straight A student. She also has some secrets that she has to live to keep. She had her whole life planned out. Graduate and become famous. She was a little set back when she lost her mom and step-dad. She then had to move to a small town in Wisconsin to live with her father. Waiting for what lies ahead. Blake Johnson is the schools bad boy. When Sapphire moves to his school he becomes interested in a girl who is more than the words. He wants to find out who this girl is, and give her the most interesting life there is. Blake has is own secrets. He is a werewolf, and Sapphire is his mate. What happens when Sapphire's path is changed, and family secrets are unraveled? *WARNING* If you like Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet then be warn because I have a huge dislike for the story, but not the educational purpose. Also if you don't like self-harm, suicide, or other mental illnesses then don't read. I prefer this story to be read by 15 or older due to sex scenes. There will be a lot of insults to many important people.

Connor Meiselman and his best friend, Esther Coneho, go to college together. As they discover more about themselves; Connor can't help but make the Resident Assistant (and star athlete,) Spencer Wing, his frenemy.
