The ocean is sick. EsmΓ© is sicker. And somewhere between dreams and waking, something is stealing crowns.
EsmΓ© is living with a severe bone condition that draws her life inward, while everything around her quietly unravels. Friends drift without goodbye. Her father returns after five years of silence, present but unreachable, as if distance has become a second language neither of them knows how to unlearn.
In Pelagia, grief does not announce itself. It accumulates, like salt in the throat, like weather that refuses to pass. The Sea is spoken of as though it remembers, as though it keeps what the town cannot hold.
Then Luna arrives with a wish. Not a cure, not a repair, but something that bends the edges of what is possible. Something that might change the Sea itself, though nothing in Pelagia comes without cost.
And still, something is stealing crowns.
A story about grief, growing up too fast, and learning how to love a world that might never be saved.
