Wishing Stories

This challenge lasts around a month (30 days) and requires of you to write a short scene everyday SOLELY based on the wonderful LES MISERBALES by Victor Hugo... You are a dedicated Les Mis fan, yes? Even if you are not a writer, but a reader, this is a challenge. The scenes don't have to be long or detailed, just do what you can! Challenge yourself! This is for all you Les Mis fans out there, and I encourage you to join in our CRUSADE!

Amber and her friends go on a crazy adventure to find her secret admirer! But they all know who it is!

"Who throws quarter's in wishing wells anyways?" "Well if you werent down there then it wouldn't have hit you're head now would it?" "Well that still doesnt anwser my question." "Well you never anwser mine" "Can you just shut up for more then, like, 5 seconds? You are giving me a migraine." This my friend, was a typical day with Carter. Who is Carter you may ask? The boy I found in the Wishing Well.

These poems are all mine. Some were inspired by books, movies and songs, and some were inspired by friends, family and real life events. Enjoy! :-)

This is my story.. I hope you'll like it and hopefully love it. This is not the first story that I've written but this is the first one that I'll be sharing. It's called "Wishing Upon A Star" :)

A few thoughts on the appropriateness of wishing for things

"The poet is a liar who always speaks the truth." -Jean Cocteau. Words are deceptive, leading us to believe that which isn't true. But poetry cannot lie. It is the language of a heart unchained, unburdened by the trials that demand we be strong. Poetry is a crying out of the soul. And so, contained within, the outcries of my soul. I'm adding some new stuff now and it's going to be more free form a lot of the time I think. As always, read and review!

This story follows a brave young girl name Sara. She was born only 8 years before the Syrian war in the twenty-first century. Sara is an only child. She grew up in Damascas, a small village with her father Jack and her mother Rasha raising her. Her father died during a bombing protecting his family when Sara was 8. It was one of the first bombings. Little did they know, that was the firsts of many. When Sara was 10, her mother shipped her to Michigan, USA. Sara had no idea what to expect or what was happening, all she knew was that her mother was being taken away from her. Sara got in a bus with many other kids her age. She watched out the window as tears streamed down her face and watched as her mother faded away into the distance.

Hi my name is Rowan. I am an orphan. Everyone is mean to, well everyone, we sleep on a matress with 1 pillow and a very thin blanket. I would rather like to sleep in a castle like in Cinderella. The owner of the orphanage is VERY strict. We get very little food so that's me and my miserable life! I went to sleep very tired. I couldn't sleep well. When I woke up I was falling! I thought the falling would never stop, suddenly I was on a boat one made out of gram crackers, with and airhead as a flag. Where am I? I asked myself. "Well well well, what do we have here." Said

This goes from my time in elementary to highschool. It talks about my love life and my friendships, times when i was happy and sad, the good the bad. I'm just talking about my life in general not just school but it's just what grade i was in during those things that happened.

Lyris, or "The Tower Girl" has lived in her tower her entire life. Her parents and brother are gone and she is alone. She wishes on a star, for a friend... and someone knocks on her door. Not the friend she expected.

Your first kiss should be with someone you truly admire, with all your heart. Your first kiss should be with the person you're most close to. Your first kiss should be worthwhile for you. - For me, *sighs*, it didn't end up like that. I had protected it for a very long time, waiting for just the right guy to be willing to give it to. But, when your first kiss is stolen away, just like that, *scoffs* it's something totally repulsive. I swear it! Mia Hendricks is just your average-fifteen-year-old girl, who has always looked forward to her first kiss. But when her first kiss is stolen from the #1, unlikely boy she ever thought she'd lose it to, she's thrown into a whirlwind of confused feelings, and unexpected rivals.
