"Justice, desire, and obsession-some lines aren't meant to stay uncrossed." Debra Rowe is a sharp, no-nonsense detective with a rising reputation and a tightly guarded heart. She's spent her career chasing criminals, not romance-especially not the kind that looks like her sweet, soft-spoken childhood friend who reappeared in her life a little too handsome and far too charming. Kyle Merrin, the city's young federal prosecutor, is all wide-eyed warmth and loyal smiles on the surface. But behind that boyish face is a man who's spent years orchestrating every step to get closer to her again. And he's not above using every tool in his arsenal-logic, law, or longing. When they're thrown together on a high-stakes drug case, lines blur fast. Between midnight stakeouts, whispered teasing, close calls, and stolen touches, Debra begins to realize she may not always be the one in control. But Kyle's not just falling in love-he's playing the long game. And if anyone thinks they can take her from him, they'll learn just how dangerous a devoted man with a perfect memory and a lawyer's power can be. A story of slow-burning obsession, tactical tenderness, and the quiet unraveling of boundaries between two people who were never meant to stay apart.

My arms pumped faster as I glided across the waves, smoothing out the gentle creases in the surface. The time had come for me to exit the shimmering water. Before I could however, I lay, floating, watching the patterns on the ceiling of the pool. I left, water droplets clinging to my skin and hair where possible. As I reach the women's changing rooms, I grab my bag from the shelf's, pulling out my towel. I start to rub my hair dry, but it sticks out in little messy clumps. After finally taming my wild mane, I dry my body and change into a pair of shorts and a crop top that said 'I speak fluent sarcasm.' As I leave I grab my sports bag and pull out my mirror. I try to check my eyeliner, but I drop the mirror in surprise. I run to the full sized mirror and trail my fingers over my skin in amazement. I've... Changed...

What Inscription Means Now A Meditation on Heritage, Silence, and the Unprotected Wild They wrote it in gold letters: Outstanding Universal Value. On South Africa's Cape Peninsula-a UNESCO World Heritage Site, a protected landscape of ancient fynbos and impossible beauty-baboons are being erased. Chased from dawn to dusk by paintball-wielding monitors. Shot in roosting sites and on the mountain that is meant to be their home. Buried in unmarked graves. Scheduled for enclosures euphemistically called "sanctuaries," with euthanasia protocols built into the fine print. And those who object are told: speak, and we take the better option away. This prose poem is a refusal of that silence. It is a cartography of the lost-the dispersing males who crossed invisible lines, the troops buried in soft sand, the euthanised whose deaths are spoken of only in passive voice. It is a meditation on what heritage means when protection can be revoked the moment it becomes inconvenient. It is an act of witness when all democratic channels have emptied into bureaucratic sand. What does aversion teach when there is nowhere left to go? For the baboons still running through a home that no longer answers when they ask where they can be. For those who cannot stay silent. For those who keep records. For those who grieve. For what inscription should have meant. This happened/is happening. It has a name. Look. "Please don't hurt me" I sobbed as he took hold of my wrist and roughly dragged me back up the embankment, when we got to the top he stopped and looked me up and down. I stood there bruised and bleeding, a shivering pathetic wreck, my tear stained face blotchy and red. He stepped towards me and my legs trembled as I waited for to worse to happen, then he lifted me off my feet and pulled me up into his arms. "Shush, I'm not going to hurt you " he soothed as he carried me back to the car. Career girl Annie Murphy wasn't expecting to get shot, and kidnapped when she took the high flying job in New York. Atoms combined squishing me in to existence and I can feel all of humanities tragedies and fixation yet i ignore it all because, all I am is a bunch of neutrons lingering in peoples air, they breath me in and out and when there shattered they grasp on to me. I'm everywhere...no where to hide from this beautiful but intoxicating area. Street lights bright and green try to mimic the stars and yet they fail. Cars kill me and earth pushes me down with its o-Zone layer. Everyday I see the same things and yet I'm silent and cant scream in pain or smile of joy because I was born with no choice but yet no limits. Blood, love, air, anger, crime, justice, lies. An endless cycle that makes my eyes transparent from shock. One breath of air and they sigh curing there problems...but what about me! Do I exist here rotting with jealousy on those who use me. Make me want to be greedy. People testing my patience and when the world ends I'll go to the universe and tell them the stories of the people on earth.my stories. ----------------------------- Arthur's note: I'm not an atheist ( honestly that was a note to myself.) I personally believe there is more than just a universe but some where beautiful where god exist(I'm Muslim so please don't judge harshly on the topic). This will be a book of short stories on what my characters has to witness everyday. But all fictional ideas our universe which can sound either good or bad.

i was busy processing my thoughts of how i ended up in a pitch black hall way, that's when i realized that i have my phone with me i turned on the torch which made this gloomy hallway a bit more bearable. I was wandering aimlessly , like a ship lost in the sea to find my way out. It felt like roaming around a pitch black hallway wasn't terrifying enough that's when i stumbled upon something i fell to my knees i was scrambling to get up but i wanted to see what could it be as all i remember was my school hallway has always been cleaned to the bone i turned my attention to the direction it was a now life-less body ,it felt like the wind knocked out of me i was stiff and stood there staring a fragile shell which was cruelly abandoned in this endless dark abyss i suddenly had a hard time breathing it felt like i won't survive, it felt like my lungs have given up on me i fell to knees....... TO BE CONTINUED this is a story of two famous university students that found themselves near a crime scene Will they surrender? Will they hide the body ? how will these two people survive knowing they hid a dead body ? read to find out..... (this story and it's content belongs to me and only me whereas photos belongs to it's rightful owner and are taken from pintrest)
