"I was told not to laugh too loudly-it didn't suit the family." "Someone suggested I change the way I signed my name after marriage." "They discussed my food preferences in a family meeting-without me in the room." None of these moments ended a marriage. None of them caused a scene. And none of them were ever spoken about again. This book begins in those moments. Reasons Why Women Should Not Get Married in India is a non-fiction collection of real, short stories told by women across generations who encountered the strange, uncomfortable, and quietly disorienting realities of marriage. Their marriages were not disasters. Many were stable. Some were loving. But all of them came with small incidents that carried big meanings-moments that made these women pause and wonder when, exactly, they had begun disappearing. Each chapter presents a "reason," not as an argument, but as a lived experience: the comments passed casually at family dinners, the expectations that arrive without discussion, the subtle reshaping of personality, preferences, body, colour, voice, and behaviour. These are not dramatic confessions. They are everyday truths-easy to dismiss, impossible to forget. This is not a book against marriage. It acknowledges that many women build happy, fulfilling partnerships. But it also insists that the quieter discomforts the ones that don't look serious enough to protest deserve to be documented. Intimate, unsettling, and deeply familiar, this book gives language to experiences women usually share only in whispers. It asks no one to reject marriage. It simply asks readers to notice what is usually overlooked. Because sometimes, the strangest parts of marriage are also the most telling.

She wasn't born fire. She became it. Men love her strength-until it asks something of them. Her fire isn't attitude. It's survival. Boundaries. Self-respect. This isn't a love story. It's a becoming story. For anyone who loved too deeply, stayed too long, and finally chose themselves. Raw. Honest. Unapologetic. A woman who stopped accepting half-love and started honoring her flame.

she was a scattered palette filled with every colour and he was the calm painter who envisioned the whole world through her on his canvas. A tale set in the late 1800s, India when feminism was a taboo while patriarchy and misogyny was a norm. Labanya, an eight year old girl who was a little too curious for her age and gender was tied to Rudrajit, an eleven year old boy who was a bit too composed and soft for his age and gender by the sacred bond of marriage. What would this marriage bring about in the lives of these young souls who were yet to discover their own selves? N.B - This story revolves not only around the romance between the two main character but also focuses on the important aspects and lessons that one could learn from this story by living through the characters and their mindsets while also getting to know about the very different environment of those time. I do not intend to impersonate or resemble any real personalities through my story as it's purely my imagination. Mention of real places and a few historic personalities are there just to add depth to the story and make it realistic.

If God gave you a second chance at life, would you seek forgiveness-or become the devil yourself? Riva Lane died in a prison infirmary-betrayed, erased, and branded a criminal. Framed by the man she loved, Marcus Gray, she lost everything: her empire, her child, and her soul. He sealed her inside a cage of lies and called it justice. Then she wakes up-three years earlier. Back in her penthouse. Silk on her skin. Steel in her heart. Marcus is right there, wearing that same "sincere" smile-close enough to kiss, close enough to kill. This time, Riva won't plead for her innocence. She'll dismantle his empire piece by piece until he's the one begging for mercy. To ruin a monster, she needs a power that plays by no rules-and the only man ruthless enough to help her is the one she can't afford to want. God gave her a second chance. Mercy was never part of the deal. If she has to become the devil to win... so be it.

"Magnolia Hollow" is a steamy Southern second-chance romance about Sutton Raines, a woman rebuilding her life after heartbreak, and Cade Mercer, the rugged contractor who helps her restore her grandmother's old inn-while unknowingly helping her rebuild herself. Set against the warm, rustic charm of Georgia's low country, the story follows Sutton as she confronts her past, rediscovers her strength, and slowly learns to trust love again. With deep emotional tension, tender intimacy, and a love rooted in resilience, Magnolia Hollow is a story of healing, homecomings, and finding the courage to rise after the fall.

This story is about the one and only princess of the kuru ancestry..Princess Duhshala. We will see the incidents of Mahabharata from her aspect here. We don't know much about her except her name and her relations with the so called Mahabharata characters. She was always remembered along with her adharmi brothers and adharmi husband. " Women are the ones who carries the tradition and sow the seeds of dharma and adharma on this land of great civilization" ----Duhshala So...left all those parts in the the original Mahabharata stories ... Here we are going to see her as herself ..how was she back in those times , how was her thoughts , who she would have ever fallen in love with... [ This story is fictional , it is not related with the original Mahabharata , And so it is not going to harm anything ] Here Duhshala is going to fall in love with krishna (because i personally think it would be natural and much more timely) .

He was used to people leaving him. She was used to people hurting her. What they weren't used to was having some one stay and actually give a damn about them. My first and perhaps only Sandhir centric story. Advice on writing them is most welcome. Warning : this is Sadda haq reimagined. I own nothing. I am also a Vidarth fan so I won't tolerate bashing of those two. Consider them a side pairing. This fic is a Sandhir one, but I have tried to give equal importance to both Randhir and Sanyukta as individuals as well. This story has been discontinued and is only up because of the comments I want to cherish. I will not be writing anymore for this. Bashing me for doing so is just going to make you look bad. Thanks. -----

Every time I tried to talk about what women still face, a man interrupted me - with his story, with his pain, with his but what about... This isn't just a book. It's a voice reclaimed. A collection of thoughts I was too tired to finish out loud. Of gender wars started over everyday conversations. Of moments where I wanted to scream the truth, but instead, smiled and stayed silent. Let Her is about the space women are still fighting for - to speak, to exist, to not be talked over. If you've ever said "it's fine" when it wasn't, If you've ever been silenced with a smile, This book is yours. Let her speak. Let her finish. Let her finally be heard.
