Lilly is seventeen when the colonizers decide she must burn. Not for power-but for defiance. She has no magic of her own, yet she helps witches and wizards escape as their land is taken, their names erased, their bodies turned into warnings. Lilly is meant to die publicly, painfully, so no one else dares to resist. But the fire does not kill her. When she opens her eyes, Lilly wakes in another world-one built on obedience, where men rule and women are owned by law, faith, and fear. This world claims order. It claims righteousness. It claims to know who deserves to exist. Trapped, watched, and powerless, Lilly searches for a way out. But the deeper she digs, the more she learns that this world did not summon her by accident. Powerful beings guard its truths, and they are watching her closely. Because Lilly's survival was never a mistake. And if she uncovers the reality behind this world-why it was made, and who it was made for-everything could burn again.

In 1882, Doctor Jane Barber has no shortage of problems. From being scrutinised at work for her gender, judged for her youth, and undermined by society as a whole, shes had quite enough. The Boer War was a traumatic experience on its own, but on top of that, Jane now has to find accommodation in London on her own- as the years she should've spent meeting a man and settling down, she spent in a trench tending to wounds. Detective Inspector Arthur Murphy is in need of a roommate. His last was too whiny, the one before that too loud. Another whistled too much, and a brief encounter with one man's dog was enough for Arthur to evict him immediately. When his sister Ada finally puts her foot down, and finds him a roommate herself. Which is how Arthur comes home one day to find his new roommate: a woman. If the Boer War was explosive, Jane and Arthur sharing a shabby flat in London is practically a world war. Spilled tea, scattered case files, and one meddling doctor who won't stop tidying his desk. Arthur nearly kills Jane. Jane nearly kills Arthur. And no, for the last time, as they have to tell many people, they are not married. | Work In Progress Story | Updates multiple times a week | Will become a series once this book is complete | Please vote and comment |

In a world that long turned a blind eye, the impossible finally happened: the international community stood with the Iranian people. A powerful popular uprising against decades of oppression explodes into a life-or-death struggle. Journalists document the birth of hope, mothers become legends, soldiers choose conscience over orders, and eventually - when all seems lost - a global coalition answers the call for humanity. A gripping alternate history of courage, sacrifice, solidarity, and the painful but beautiful road to rebuilding a nation. Can freedom be born from ashes when the whole world watches - and finally acts? #Iran #Revolution #Freedom #Solidarity #HistoricalFiction

Does anger cause damage? If Georgia Ellenburg still believed in coincidences, she'd disagree. But George knows better. People get hurt around her, and now that her sister doesn't want to go to a college--a dream George gave up so that it could belong to Maeve--George is forced to stare down her past, and, in the meantime, protect her budding relationship with Sam, who she knows her anger will harm if given the chance. Since having assumed guardianship over her sister, George has one goal: to keep Maeve safe, and, at twenty-four, she's done so by creating a life with minimal unpredictability. In her efforts, George has given up nearly everything so that her sister can have the life that was supposed to belong to George. Maeve, however, expresses other ideas, ideas that don't involve college or anything that George gave up for her sister, which pits George against the choices she's made and the anger she's buried because of them. George has a secret, a secret that can no longer be considered a coincidence, and when Sam enters her life and begins to chip away at the pain she thought she'd let go, she must face the ultimate test of unpredictability: either confront her past or risk hurting Sam. Because her anger always hurts those around her. xxx tags: slow burn, romance, family drama, feminism, trauma

❝ 𝐴 𝑤ℎ𝑖𝑡𝑒 𝑟𝑜𝑠𝑒, 𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑛𝑑𝑠 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑠𝑒𝑐𝑟𝑒𝑡 𝑙𝑜𝑣𝑒. ❞ Anna read out loud, while I was staring at the flower that Lord Tewksbury gave me. ❁ I always was sort of different. It wasn't my looks, my health or my social status. It was my mind. I am sick of men telling us, women, what to do. I am sick of my mother telling me to find myself a rich husband. I am sick of my Father being a member of the house of lords but I still won't be the person following him, even though I am the oldest. And why is that? Because I am a woman and that is the only reason. But I decided to defend myself. I decided to make a difference. My plan was to make women join protests against the sexism going on. To inspire them to defend themselves and I was going to achieve my goal even if it meant that I would have to leave behind everything. I only made one rule for myself to follow: don't fall in love. But when I met the Viscount Tewksbury of Basilweather, I quickly knew that I had to focus so I wouldn't break that rule. #5 in SherlockHolmes (16th January 2023) #6 in enolaholmes (4th February 2023) #3 in runningaway (4th February 2023) #5 in emmawatson (28th May 2023) #2 in Tewksbury (10th July 2023) #1 in womensrights (6th June 2024-29th July 24) #1 in Sherlockholmes (17th August 2023) #2 in runningaway (26th November 2023) (All the characters except my own belong to the owners of Enola Holmes) About 30.000 words have been used in this book
