'Have you even considered how difficult this is? A woman, having to pretend to be a man to protect herself, because the men whom she is hiding from cannot keep it in them to have decency. They feel threatened. They feel disrespected when a woman bests them.' ₊˚ ✧ ━━━━⊱⋆⊰━━━━ ✧ ₊˚ Scarlet Petrikov is a young woman in a world where piracy has reached its Golden Age. The only problem? What happens when the place meant to protect you becomes the place that breaks you? Agony (Parents Can Be Wrong) is a powerful and emotional story about growing up in a toxic home filled with constant conflict, painful words, and shattered self-worth. From a young age, she watched her home turn into a battlefield where arguments, insults, and violence were everyday realities. Instead of love, she learned fear. Instead of encouragement, she heard words that made her believe she was worthless simply because she was a girl. The constant tension slowly destroyed her confidence and shaped how she saw herself and the world around her. Pain turned into silence. Silence turned into anger. And anger slowly grew into hatred toward the very people she was taught to respect. But deep inside the broken pieces of her heart, a small spark of hope remained. This deeply moving story explores: • The emotional scars of growing up in a toxic family • The painful impact of gender discrimination • The silent struggles of children in violent homes • The journey from brokenness toward healing Agony (Parents Can Be Wrong) is more than just a story, it is a voice for every child who has ever suffered in silence and a reminder that sometimes... even parents can be wrong. A heartbreaking yet powerful story of pain, survival, and hope.

So you're fresh out of high school or college and landed a job? Starting your career? Here's some short tips on how to make the most of a kick-ass career. The purpose of the book is to empower women starting in the workforce, and give them confidence to set boundaries and thrive in their careers. I've used my own experiences to write the book, having worked in global management teams for international firms, particularly in male-dominated environments where unconscious bias and stereotypes still exist. If you want some career tips from an MBA graduate with published work on leadership, then this is the book for you. *Featured on Wattpad's official Non-fiction profile, @nonfiction *Nonfiction winner of the Reader's Choice Awards 2020 Cover by: @iM0THS Disclaimer: any recommendations, suggestions or advice are only for information purposes and may not suit all circumstances related to the advice. "Just One Slap?" focuses on two forms of violence; the physical and psychological violence of Katya's former partner, as well as the institutional violence directed against her and her infant child. The book doesn't cover all forms of violence against women; only violence not considered serious in social terms. The following scene is the scene that was later qualified as 'just one slap': "Out of the blue, before I could even finish my sentence, Eric - whilst carrying Zoe in his arms - struck me across the face. The shock of that first slap rippled through every cell in my body. He screamed "slut, bitch", grabbing my left arm and pushing me hard. His face turned blood red and his veins popped as he lunged hurling threats and insults: "I'll rip you apart, you crazy bitch". I told him to stop, and he slapped me again. He grabbed my other arm and squeezed it so hard, I thought it would dry up and drop off. I struggled out of his grip, but no 'time out'; I was still against the ropes. I had no idea what to do; fight or flight? Eric is 1.82 metres... And he had Zoe in his arms! Me, I'm nothing next to him; petite 1.58. "Stop! I'm not as strong as you," I pleaded, naively trying to reason with him. The shoving was so violent, I almost fell over... several times. During this unbelievable battle of the sexes, what was mostly on my mind was snatching Zoe away from him. She was still in his arms screaming, her lungs about to burst, completely terrorised..." This book focuses on institutional violence. It intends to raise public awareness and, in my view, can be a useful 'compass' for victims to navigate through the current institutional labyrinth. It does not intend to render any type of psychological, legal, or other kind of professional advice. It can also be used as part of a training toolkit for professionals dealing with women's rights and gender equality (especially police officers, members of the health services, social workers, lawyers and judges).

I used to think getting married was the happiest thing I could do to myself-- but that was all wrong. I am a feminist and this short claims are for ignorant sexist boys (and sometimes girls). I dedicated this piece to my sisters all over the world. I hope I can be your voice! *I really like my male friends and male colleagues, I don't mean to hurt them or attack them. (just in case some people think I am a man-hater which I am not. I am against sexists.) So in my proses when I mention 'men', that means misogynistic/ ignorant/ sexist men.

Tea merchant Sir Brooks grew strong feelings for the reckless soldier and lady in disguise Miss Taylor and yet, lustful whims of the élite and thirst for blood hindered his tender affection, jeopardizing the lives of the ones he loved. Furthermore, a mutiny found its roots in the colony of India due to foreign influence and social injustices. Will their lives still be interlaced? A new intriguing view of England's history between west and exotic east will tell the story of selfless love and a sabotage. Anyone can be bold regardless of their gender. Dear ladies and gentlemen, you'll never believe my discovery! A little birdie told me one of the most loyal servants Her Majesty has ever had was, indeed, a sergeant of the British army, a woman whose courage was as illustrious as the boldness which would have burgeoned in a man! A revolt took place in India - where tea and spices were traded with the West - to demand justice and the East India Company was slowly losing its control over those territories. What do you think it would have happened if our sergeant had stolen the heart of a young tea merchant? Will the Empire's wealth and safety still be guaranteed?

For thousands of years, we have been living in a society where women have been killed for honour, they have been raped, they have been burned with acid and they have been imprisoned. ____ This book is a collection of articles on woman imprisonment, where I am trying to raise a question. Are we really trying to change the society and giving women their right to love freely, breath freely, and dream freely, as we claim? Are we actually trying to make a society where our mothers, our sisters, our wives and our daughters can live free and independent?
