This is my entry for the #wonderthemovie challenge, but even after it's judged I'm going to keep it up, hoping maybe it will inspire someone to spread kindness. When I was faced with the challenge of writing about a time when kindness prevailed in just 500 words, I thought it was going to be simple. I thought it was something I could whip up in a few hours. Oh, how wrong I was. Capturing the power of kindness isn't something that can be done, period, so trying to do it in a few hours is impossible. I wrote so many pros of what kindness means, but nothing satisfied me. So then I realized maybe it isn't what kindness means that should be written about, but maybe it's was kindness can do. So I decided to just tell a story of kindness, instead of trying to define it. I told a story that I hope will inspire others to spread kindness around. In my life, I have been blessed to be surrounded by such kind people. But not everyone receives that chance and it's our job to give that chance to those who don't have it. It takes only five seconds of kindness to change a life. This story is under 500 words and is inspired on a true event :)

This is my nonfiction submission for the #WondertheMovie competition on Wattpad. This short (and true) narrative details the experiences that inspired me to write the poetry that I am publishing on Wattpad under "Black Silence". This is the story of choosing kindness towards one's self--which is sometimes the most difficult, but rewarding kind of kindness. Credit for the cover goes to: https://www.canva.com/create/wattpad-covers/

For the #WondertheMovie contest Note: So, I found a cover a long time ago in the Wattpad threads that looked similar to this one, and it was a premade. I recreated it to look like this, but the original looks better, so if someone could direct me to the creator of an image that looks similar to this, that would be great.

No More Silence. No More Shame. No More Pain. No More. Lucas Marks is just a high school boy who has had group projects with Lily Waters. When she doesn't show for their last group project of the year, and doesn't attend classes for a whole week, worry crowds his mind and, instead of staying out of it like his friends say, he goes looking for Lily. What he finds is horrifying and there is no staying out of it. Intervening is the only option for Luke.
