Wriothesley was a feared captain in the fontain region. He and his pirate crew sailed the seas on Meropide, their gallion. That was until they were attacked, and a single man was lost, their captain.

Neuvillette was in heat. He hated heats, it took his self control and destroyed it for an entire day out of the year. But this year was different. He was called to work and tries to push his feelings deep down, but has a very hard time when the man who stands for everything he is against walks through the door to steal something from him. Or, a story in which Neuvillette is at Wriothesley's feet, begging to be pleasured.

It has been weeks since the prophecy had been fulfilled, and Fontaine had been having constant rain. Wriothesley hasn't been outside the Fortress of Meropide since the prophecy, and has gotten barely any communication. When he decides to go out one day, it's raining. And he is greeted by a teary eyed Iudex Neuvillette. They have tea together, and everything seems to goes back to normal. But Wriothesley undergoes bad injuries and is taken in by Neuvillette, discovering something that isn't so simple. While he heals by Neuvillette, they start to grow close. Death has always been the least of his worries and human life was a simply a meager existence to his eyes. His oath bounded him to a life of servitude and yearned to break free from the chains of his wretched country.
