Entry for the #writewithZo contest. It is a known fact that everyone has to die. But what happens to a human after death is a question which has no answer. Some pass through the veil to the afterlife, but there are a few unfortunate souls who are still stranded on the earth in confinement. Such a soul was Maximilian; a boy ghost who had been burnt at the stake in the Salem Witch Trials. Stuck on earth and with no other alternative to consider, all he could do was watch the living until the lights went out.

The cheer captain, the one people depend on, Victoria Karasel. Other then being in cheer, Victoria has a different pursuit of happiness. Music. A tale of the unexpected homecoming kween that takes place in the movie theater that shows old-timey films. Sophia Beynes, the unexpected homecoming kween, is having a date with Jack Hale in the movie theater. But she is also best friends with Grayson Hale who isn't aware of their relationship.

In a horrific phenomenon, there are multiple cases where people's own eyes seemed to have been gauged out at the edge of the pier, and sunk into the water below. Each case is blamed on the victim suffering from a fatal aneurism. What they dont know is there's a possessed doll under the pier below, missing both of her eyes, lurking in the water. She just wants her eyes back... but no pair ever seems to fit.

Ming has fallen in love when she least expected it and because he is an Ethereal who will soon fade away into nothing, no matter what she does, she knows she will lose him, and it's tearing her apart inside.
