☆ ᴡᴀᴛᴛʏꜱ 2026 SHORTLISTER!! ☆ Don't start what you can't finish... ~~~ To the outside world, young novelist Cristina Castillo appears to have nothing but success. With four published works under her belt, she is a literary wunderkind. But behind closed doors, she has a secret shame: countless notebooks filled with unfinished stories. Cristina's waking mind is plagued by the underdeveloped characters, incomplete plots, and cliché themes of her countless abandoned and discontinued tales. Dreams of fiction, reduced to scrap paper. While attending the release party for her latest published novel, Cristina comes face-to-face with none other than the handsome protagonist from one of her most beloved (and unfinished) passion projects. He tells Cristina that he wants an ending for his story. And he warns her: he is not her only forsaken character seeking fulfillment. As Cristina's vengeful creations begin coming out of the woodwork, she is plunged into the depths of her very vivid imagination. A journey of humor, adventure, terror, love, and startling self-discovery ensues as Cristina tries to return to reality. She soon learns, however, that the only way to escape the fictional worlds she dreamt into being is to appease her creations by writing their endings.

Story prompts to use at your leisure ~ I suggest not directly using the prompt, but gaining inspiration from it. Writer's block--ugh! Have you ever encountered it? Have you ever been knocked off of your writing game because of it? Sure, you can find plenty of articles on how to "break through" writer's block, but, what about a quick-read book on how to "prevent" it altogether? Tips, pointers, and tricks are what you will find in my pre-writer's-block "formula." My answers are only a page away. They hold no gimmicks; there are no difficult paths to follow. Presented in easy-to-understand fashion, my techniques apply simply, and can bring about a productive result for you. (*"Five Tips on How to Avoid Writer's Block" had been a guest post that I had done, in 2016, for romance author Trinity Hanrahan. She had asked me to write something for her blog and, in April of that year, this work had posted on it. I now understand, though, that this informative, quick-read piece, is no longer available on that blog. Here's hoping that posting it on Wattpad--with some fun added pictures, and minor tweaks [e.g., changing words like "below" to "on the following pages"; "previously above" to "the previous chapters," etc., to coincide with a "book format" here]--will help the writers on this platform.)

Parker Carrington has always taken himself a bit too seriously, he couldn't help it. After spending his Highschool years obsessing over maintaining grades and becoming somewhat of a humdrum, he decides to up the ante by creating a 'Senior Bucket List' of things he would never do. Insert Levi Halloway. An energetic social butterfly who also happens to work for Parker's grandfather. He also seems to pop up everywhere Parker is. Between new experiences, new friendships, and senior year slipping by faster than expected, Parker might finally learn how to loosen up - even if Levi is determined to throw him headfirst into the deep end. Ngl school is pissing me off rn especially the boys in 3-6th period so I'm writing this cause I need to exert out this anger. BL (boy love) Except I lowkey take this a bit seriously cause I gotta put a little bit of pride in my writing! (Hopefully weekly updates)

A two paragraph thing about writer's block.

Context :This poem is basically about my writer's block. All the frustration and disjointed thoughts were my inspiration for the poem. The poem, 'The Continuum' by Alan Currow also inspired me to write this poem as I empathised with his frustration with writer's block as well.

This is a story about being yourself. Josh wants to win his school writing contest but he is experiencing writers block due to lack of confidence. How will he get over this? Will he win the contest or runway?

I get asked a lot for advice so I'm going to sum up all of it here. So sit down, shut up, and don't go anywhere because this book will change your life. Or at least it better, otherwise you're probably doing something wrong. I'll cover things like: General Advice on being a better Writer or anything really. Why you aren't getting any reads, and how to get more. Tips, life lessons, and what I learned the hard way. How to be a good reader and why that matters. How to fix basic problems about your story to help it get noticed. Basic advice on Tags, cover, description. I'll talk about things you may not even know you are doing wrong yet. What it means to be a Pirate as a writer and why you should be one too. And I'll update more as needed. Generally, it's a bunch of stuff that's not always obvious or you didn't think about at first. Lessons that I discovered through a long painful process of trial and error. Everything may not be exactly right in everyone's eyes, but nobody's perfect. Be aware, this book may both change your life for the better and unapologetically attack you on a personal level at the same time. Because how can you know what to fix if you didn't know what is broken? You can write. You can be a writer, novice or professional. And maybe you are simply failing in some way because nobody told you what-not-to-do yet. Let me tell you. Let me break you down and build you up so that you can succeed. But I can't help you if you don't let me. So give me that chance and read this from start to finish.
