Violet "Vee" Shelby is a freelance reporter trying to make it big, but it seems that Chicago is not yet ready for her frank boldness and early talent. Vee constantly sees the same scene replaying before her eyes: "We'll let you know," "Have you tried the gossip columns?", "A spot has just opened up in our fashion section." What would happen if Violet signed her investigations with a male name? What harm would it do to try? After all, her twin brother Sebastian is too busy chasing his dream in the kitchens of Paris to notice. This is the story of a somewhat unlucky reporter who will prove to the world that she is worthy of her aspirations, even if it means clashing with one of the biggest CEOs in the United States, Duke Orson. Enjoy, get mad, and be moved while reading this chick-lit with a flavor of Shakespeare's "Twelfth Night."

Something is wrong with reality. They call it the SIGNAL. It interrupts thoughts, rewrites time, swaps bodies, and breaks the rules of the world without warning. No one knows where it comes from - or why it chooses certain people. This is not a story. It is a collection of 30 writing challenges inspired by these anomalies. Each chapter presents a strange situation, and you turn it into your own story. But there is one rule: Every story must include: SIGNAL ACTIVE No winners. No limits. Just writers exploring broken realities... one prompt at a time. And if you start noticing the Signal outside of these pages... it's probably nothing.

Some stories don't begin with grand moments. They begin quietly - with a message, a song, a passing conversation that lingers longer than it should. What starts as something small slowly grows into shared laughter, familiar silences, and a connection that feels strangely inevitable. Told through her memories,When He Calls Me Airah is the story of a love that arrived gently and changed everything without asking permission. But not every love story is meant to stay. Some are meant to live in moments, in music, and in the parts of our hearts that time cannot rewrite. Because once, in a life that feels both distant and close, she was Airah.

They say you should never show your rough drafts to the world. But how can I show you the finished stars without first showing you the dust they were born from? I wasn't always a writer. In fact, for a long time, I was the one who avoided books like a plague. To my twelve-year-old self, stories were merely words on a page-lifeless, boring, and utterly unnecessary. I couldn't understand why anyone would spend their time getting lost in someone else's imagination. And then, it happened. One book changed everything. Suddenly, the silence between the pages felt louder than the world outside. The ink became a tether, and the stories became a home. That is why I am here. WrittenByFable is not just a profile; it is an invitation. It is the evolution of a girl who once hated books into an author who breathes them. This archive is my soul, laid bare-one chapter, one fragment, one dream at a time. I am here to build a safe space for you, a quiet corner of the internet where you can stay as long as you need, until you find the inspiration you didn't know you were looking for. I write because I want to be for you what that one book was for me: the spark that ignited a new world. Welcome to my archive. Welcome to my soul. Welcome home. 🖋️✨

Liminal lands- Legacy 1 and 2, final part Genre: short story/Young teen mystery In a city haunted by the past, Legacy Jackson is drawn back to her childhood after receiving a cryptic letter from her missing sister, Jamyra. Memories of their shared laughter and childhood secrets collide with the chilling reality of Jamyra's absence, leaving Legacy desperate for answers. As she searches through the remnants of their old neighborhood and the eerie halls of Lovelace Middle School, Legacy grapples with her fragmented memories. Each familiar sight stirs haunting echoes of what once was, and when she encounters a girl who eerily resembles her sister, Legacy feels a mix of hope and dread. With time slipping away, she must confront the ghosts of her past and unravel the mystery surrounding Jamyra's disappearance before she loses her sanity-or will she succumb to time like others before her? Author's Note This is only the second draft of the final part, parts 1 and 2 are good. I already have a long list of revisions, expansions, and corrections I plan to make in future drafts, but I wanted to release it before the Backrooms movie as a small tribute to liminal horror and the stories that inspired me. I'd also like to dedicate this draft to my students, whose enthusiasm for series like The Backrooms helped inspire me to finally finish and share it. Thanks for reading. - L.B

This isn't a story. At least, not the kind with chapters and a carefully planned plot. This is where all the things that don't quite fit anywhere else end up-writing updates, digital art, cover reveals, life updates, story ideas that may never become actual stories, baking projects, and whatever random thought happens to be bouncing around my head. Consider this the space between the stories. There is no plot. There is no schedule. There is only chaos. Welcome to my brain. ♡

"Why don't you just get lost! I don't want to see your face ever again. Do you get it?" He stormed out of the room leaving her in tears. "If that's what you want, I'll give you just that." She meekly said to herself and got up from the floor. _______________ Nivan Arora was called cold-hearted, ruthless and arrogant businessman and he was all of that and some more. Love was not something that had high regards in his dictionary and he liked to be blissfully unaware of it. His strengths were his money, his impeccable style and his two best friends. Weakness? None! Dhwani Verma was called nothing because she wasn't important, at least not to her so called family. She loved to see the world through the tinted lens of her camera. That was her love language. Her strengths were her kindness, her opinions and her two cousins. Weakness? Same as above. _______________ What happens when people from two different worlds who had nothing to do with each other collide? Sparks fly all around. Like that of a firecracker. Like that of an Arson.
