Writober Stories

Some friends and I were doing art inspired by one-word prompts. While my friends are traditional artists, my medium is the written word, so I'm writing short stories or scenes related to the word. Prompts were chosen by one of us every week, either sometime Sunday or early Monday, and our art is due by the following Sunday. I also try to write something every day of October (2018 -2019) to go with the inktober prompts, so these will also be posted here. Figured since I was writing them anyway, I'd post them here too. My chapter titles are going to be of the form "Prompt - Specific Name of Piece", if you are curious what the prompt was. Various pieces are unlikely to be related, although if some of them find themselves linking up, I'll make a note of it. Currently interconnected pieces: "Roasted - Potatoes", "Muddy - A Child's Game", "Snow - Keres's Decision", "Overgrown - Aaryn and Daud", and "Legend - Aaryn's Lesson" all feature the main cast of my work in progress novel "A Traitor's Tale"

A series of short stories based on the Inktober one word prompts from 2021. Each story is completely independent unless otherwise noted. What started out as a #writober challenge has evolved into a continual love of flash fiction. Here are my 101 word micro short stories. The genre of each story changes from scifi to comedy to horror.

Parce que je participe au Writober.

Voici le premier Writober de "Tu es Otaku ? Nous aussi" ! Chaque admin (15) a cité deux mots en rapport avec Halloween pour en faire une organisation du Writober. Grâce à ça, #Jin & #Shanks réalisent une histoire d'horreur (sous un mini-thème du Japon), complété chaque jour à travers des "mini-chapitres". En espérant que ça pourra vous plaire, autant que ça nous a plus de créer une fiction à deux, avec ses mots "forcés" ;)

"The Healer" is a short, poetic text written for Inktober, made from the captions of the drawings I created for the challenge. If you want to see the drawings that match the captions, they will all be posted on my Instagram : capucine.jcmd. The text is about traumas and recovery. English isn't my native language so I'm sure there will be grammatical mistakes, and I'm sorry about that, I hope it will still be understandable.

every day of October I wrote a story, each day another theme. think of inktober, but with stories. the idea is from @thewritersgarden on Instagram. The stories won't be the best stories, some days I had very little time to write.

Jour 5 du Writober dont le thème est "artefact dans la poche". Je me suis servie de ma passion pour les runes, l'archéologie et l'Histoire pour écrire cette histoire.

Connaissez vous l'inktober ? Un jour un dessin avec un thème, un mot à chaque fois. Et bien j'ai décidé de faire même mais avec des écrits. Les textes sont chacun en rapport avec mes oc, des teasers des histoires que j'écris en somme. Toutefois, il se peut qu'il n'est aucun rapport en eux. C'est très probable même.
