La importancia de adquirir compendias en el siglo xxi

It's the zombie apocalypse. Few buildings still stand. Few humans still live. Landscapes turned to barren wastelands. After a nuclear power plant explodes, 19-year old Maximilian Roamer is rendered unconcious and doesn't remember anything about his past. But as he ventures out into the unknown, he starts to discover himself, but it won't be easy. The zombies aren't the stereotypical ones. They aren't slow. They aren't weak. They aren't all the same, and they aren't common to see. The world doesn't belong to the humans anymore and Max doesn't understand that, so he develops a series of theories he keeps in his journal. Maximilian doesn't know where he is, but he knows that he shouldn't be there or the rest of his life will be lived as one of the reckless mutations that now crawl this earth.

Ciężko westchnęłam. Podniosłam się z łóżka i usiadłam na jego skraju wpatrując się w podłogę. Wśród moich myśli panował chaos. Nie potrafiłam poskładać ich do kupy. Byłam zwykłym dzieckiem z depresją,które jak widać potrafiło kochać. Nie byłam egoistką-a wszyscy tak uważali. Gdybym nią była,nie myślałabym teraz o was wszystkich. Nie byłam hipokrytką-gdybym nią była,nikt by się do mnie nie odezwał. Nie byłam głupia-gdybym była nie osiągnęłabym tego co osiągnęłam. Jednak nie byłam też mądra-gdybym była nie spadłabym na dno. Czasem ciężko utrzymać się na powierzchni. Czasem coś ciągnie nas w dół,a my nie potrafimy się temu oprzeć. Taka jest kolej rzeczy. Takie jest życie. A przecież nic nie dzieje się bez powodu> Bez przyczyny. Nic.

Opowiadanie jest w formie pamiętnika. Akcja dzieje się w tym wieku (XXI w), przedstawia problemy nastolatków i niestety nie akceptację.
