Dark Nightwing AU. After Wally's death, Dick is in denial, believing that something, anything other than death had happened. When he's forced to face the facts, it sends him in a dark downward spiral that ends up in dead bodies and blood-soaked streets. Meanwhile, the team gets word of a new anti-hero/villain that's trying to clear the streets of crime by killing every criminal he comes across. Artemis just wants to find out what happened to her best friend.

This was his fate. A fate that had fallen on to him, one that he couldn't escape if he tried. He was going to die, he wasn't going to be able to see his hard work pay off. He would never be able to see the eyes of his mentor, of that of his friends. But somehow, he wasn't scared. He was just....dying. He didn't believe in a higher power, how could he when aliens had descended from the sky? But all he could hope was that it something other than endless nothingness. Or that Young Justice One-Shot where Wally waits for Dick.

Everybody knows the story of how Robin wasn't taken in by Batman and ended up the bad guy or something. We all know how he eventually bonds with the team. But what if... None of that happened? What if his parents never died? What if they were still alive and Dick Grayson was happy? What if he was still Robin after all? "You can take the boy away from the circus but you can't take the circus out the boy." But in this world... "You can't take the boy from the circus, but you can take the circus to another city full of supervillains for said boy to bring down."

Kid Flash and Robin wake up bound and blindfolded (Nothing kinky I swear) with no recollection of how they got there. As the situation worsens, it becomes doubtful either of them will make it out alive. Bromance, drop the "b" if you'd like. (Fair warning, there's some whump in here. It's not particularly graphic I don't think, but I figured I should say something.)
