This is a poetry collection I wrote that fell under the tree, but still got up and tried again. This is a relatable collection about persistence, pain, and pleasure. A collection about being human. Raw emotions live in this book.

Just some kind words for those who need them. These won't be long, but I hope they help! Feel free to vent in the comments, I'll try my best to respond. All I ask is that you put trigger warnings on serious topics and don't invalidate other people's problems, struggles, etc. Sorry for any grammer mistakes. I originally wrote these in all lowercase, but because I'm unobservant, I may have missed something I should've fixed.

This story is much darker than my other ones, and does not have a happy ending. "Escape" deals with abuse and the repercussions of not seeking help immediately. When I first wrote this story for a Creative Writing class in college, it didn't feel right to give It a happy ending. I felt as if it didn't give Mia and the victims of abuse justice since I want my readers to know what happens when help is not sought. If you suffer from abuse - any form, whether it be physical, emotional, or psychological - please, PLEASE, seek help immediately. You're worth more than the abuse you suffer. The pain I felt that night I had never experienced anything like it. It started off as just a regular hot flash I've always gotten hot quite easily when it's hot but this was different, it was freezing outside and I was burning up. Then came the pain it come over me like a giant wave trying to pulling me out with the tide and I could barley keep myself from falling completely and utterly into it's harmful and deadly currents until I just couldn't. And all he did was look disgusted at me while I was on the floor experiencing the worse pain I have ever felt in my life that STUPID BASTARD! #rejected#regret#badbitchcomeback
