In a dystopian world where a gargantuan creature known as the 'Sound Monster' controls everything, 8 boys take up their weapons and begin the never-ending fight against the Sound Monster. Defeating the Sound Monster is no easy task, but the boys will have to decide whether they want to risk their lives or their humanity.

The brothers Atlas and Iyen were inseparable in their childhood, until a tragic event struck that changed everything. Lina, their mother, took Iyen to Japan while Sky, their father, remained in Korea with Atlas. Years went by, and when Lina decided to return to her hometown to enroll Iyen in a famous Korean university, the brothers were reunited. After the traumatic event, something had changed in Iyen. When Atlas first saw him, he didn't recognize his younger brother. It was a painful reminder of the tragedy that had torn their family apart. But as they spent time together, they slowly began to remember the love and bond that had once defined their relationship. Throughout the book, readers will discover the details of the dark event that had such a profound impact on the brothers and their family. As they navigate their new lives in a foreign country, Atlas and Iyen must confront the past and come to terms with the future.
