A scruffy terrier, a ginger tabby, and a literal leopard are the only things standing between the children of Willow Lane and a very sticky end.
Rico, Milo, and Timber are used to the quiet life-napping in sunbeams, arguing over the best spot on the rug, and occasionally dodging the mailman. But when their neighbor, little Toby, vanishes into a cloud of peppermint mist, they realize their neighborhood is under a "sugar curse."
The mastermind? Bonnie, a grandmotherly villain with eyes like glass beads and a factory that doesn't appear on any map. From her iron-clad fortress, she commands an army of one thousand rats to snatch children and transform them into shimmering, shelf-stable peppermints.
With the police baffled by "disappearances" and the town paralyzed by fear, the trio must trade their collars for courage. To save the children, they'll have to infiltrate a factory of horrors, outsmart Bonnie's bumbling henchmen, and face a sea of red-eyed rodents.
It's a race against the clock before the kids are wrapped, sealed, and sold. Can a dog, a cat, and a leopard stop the "Final Batch," or will they end up as Bonnie's next confectionery trophies?
