Dear whoever is reading this book: You are awesome. I don't know you, but I still care about you. Because everyone has some good in them. And everything has some good in it. So even if you don't see the good, you will soon. You are so amazing, okay? You are valid, kind, smart, pretty\handsome, and so so so so so loved. Never forget that. If you look at the genre of the book, you'll see its non fiction. That's because this is all true. You are awesome. TW: This book may contain some mentions of suicide. This story is much darker than my other ones, and does not have a happy ending. "Escape" deals with abuse and the repercussions of not seeking help immediately. When I first wrote this story for a Creative Writing class in college, it didn't feel right to give It a happy ending. I felt as if it didn't give Mia and the victims of abuse justice since I want my readers to know what happens when help is not sought. If you suffer from abuse - any form, whether it be physical, emotional, or psychological - please, PLEASE, seek help immediately. You're worth more than the abuse you suffer.
