The story of the one and only avatar wasn't completely accurate. To be probably be balanced, there are four avatars. One per nation. Two boys, two girls. Three avatars left. Four friends found over and over throughout their lives. But the story got lost after the war started, the stories of multiple avatars became a fool's story. But as Aang gets closer and closer to returning to the world, the spirit energy used to keep him alive is returned to the others. Compelteish but might add to it, open to suggestions!

After learning just how far Ozai will to to the throne, Aiko leaves the Fire Nation to create a life for herself elsewhere. She thought she was done with the Fire Nation, but the universe just loves proving her wrong.

Jet never learns about Zuko being a firebender, and takes him to meet some ...friends. Incidentally, Sokka has to deal with not one, but two assholes from his past.

this story is told from zuko's point of view and is packed with a lot of angst, so be prepared for an emotional rollercoaster. It's a detailed story with many chapters, each filled with intense moments and deep character development. despite sukka being in the tags, this is a zukka-focused story. sukka doesn't last long ofc. this story includes scenes of verbal and physical abuse inflicted on zuko by ozai.
