This story is based on the prompt Letters from Zutara week 2018: Zuko pens a letter to his Uncle Iroh in which he confesses his true feelings for Katara.

Oneshot - late Zutara Week 2018 prompt; Bloodbending. Zuko offers to help Katara practice bloodbending in an attempt to stay close to her - "This was not the bloodbending he was expecting, but he wanted more. Angi, he wanted more." The 100-Year War was over. Fire Lord Ozai had been defeated. The Earth Kingdom capital of Ba Sing Se had been liberated. Prince Zuko had laid claim to the Fire Nation throne. Avatar Aang and his friends, along with the mysterious Order of the White Lotus had saved the world from destruction and restored peace. If only it were that simple... Happy Zutara Week 2022!!!!!

Southern Water Tribe princess Katara is arranged to be married to Hahn, the arrogant Prince of the Northern Water Tribe, but after negotiations break down over women's rights to become waterbenders the marriage contract is broken. Angry over the loss of the financial gain Hahn's father, Chief Pakku, orders the Northern Water Tribe's Navy to cut off the Southern Water Tribe's main trade routes. Over the years Pakku's tactics take their toll on the Southern Water Tribe leaving them desolate without enough food or medicine to sustain the village. In a desperate bid to save his people Chief Hakoda negotiates an uneasy marriage alliance with their one time enemies, the Fire Nation.
