When Max returns from the South Tyrolean Alps to the mist-covered mountains of Northern Thailand, he expects to stay four days to attend his mother's funeral, twenty years after he last saw her. Instead, he finds himself drawn into a land dispute where family obligations, local power, and unspoken expectations collide.
As pressure mounts around the remote resort, Max is forced to rely on Keng, someone who understands the terrain, but who deeply resents him for a past Max has almost forgotten. What begins as reluctant collaboration slowly shifts into something more difficult to define, and harder to step away from.
The GL subplot follows Dao, Keng's sister and a fierce mountain activist, and Pim, the sophisticated daughter of the family's antagonist, two women from different worlds, pulled into their own collision.
Heir of Phu Langka is a slow-burn BL/GL, set against questions of belonging, inheritance, and what it costs to choose a side when leaving is no longer an option.
