Roe is an orphan left in the care of the Resistance. As she grows she becomes one of the best pilots the Resistance has. However when the First Order attacks Kashyyyk, a peaceful planet that is allies with the Resistance, the Resistance is forced to defend the planet. On the attack Roe is captured by the most feared man in the galaxy, Kylo Ren. While she is captured she learns many new things about herself but she also learns many new things about the dark Jedi.
