When Selina wished upon a star, all of Gotham City becomes a Disney fairytale musical.

When a tornado rips through Gotham, Robin (Burt Ward) and his puppy, Toto, are whisked away in their house to the magical land of Oz. They follow the Yellow Brick Road toward the Emerald City to meet the Wizard (Paul McCartney), and en route they meet a Scare-Batgirl (Yvonne Craig) that needs a brain, a Tin Batman (Adam West) missing a heart, and a Cowardly Cat (Julie Newmar) who wants courage. The wizard asks the group to bring him the broom of the Wicked Witch of the West (Glynis Johns) to earn his help.

This is a fan-created story of the original Batman and Robin TV show.

In the third entry of the 2022-2023 Film Journal, I take a look at the flick, "Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders". I reflect on what the Batman myth has meant to me for so long, how one of the two Batmen, Adam West, emphasizes such purpose, and how this animated picture uniquely tackles such ideas with all of the campy glory '60s series.
