    In the classical detective novel by Agatha Christie, Poirot revealed that the murderer of Roger Ackroyd is none other than Dr Sheppard. Poirot discreetly advises Dr Sheppard to commit suicide by consuming veronal but the story doesn't give information about how Dr Sheppard in-fact ended his life.
