Pretending, Actually by Blithe Everly🌷
Synopsis:
Emilia Salvatierra lived a life that all people wished for. Luxury, power, money, connection, she had all of that. She was a masterpiece of high-society perfection. Her seemingly perfect world was then shattered when she got framed in a scandal with a high-profile politician, turning her into an overnight villain.
With her name ruined and a cut off bank account, Emilia was forced to do the one thing that she never imagined: disappear.
She traded her designer bags and clothes for tattered rags and a fake identity. She soon found a perfect hiding place in the most unthinkable situation, a live-in housekeeper for Benedict Whilt. He was the exact opposite of her. He was quiet, while she was loud, he preferred spending time with his manuscript over the social circles that Emilia used to lead. He's awkward, clumsy, and a nervous rat-yet she finds herself staying.
As Emilia spends her time in his house, she realizes how there is more to him. With a new formed friendship with the man, she noticed how they share similar traits and the same desperation to hide from the judging world. And as time goes by she finds herself falling for him, but she thinks that her fascination with Ben is nothing but a mere curiosity. Alas, the hole that she dug soon became deeper and deeper that it looked almost impossible to climb back. Will Ben hear her? or will he keep pretending to ignore her?
She's pretending to be just a housekeeper, and he is pretending he doesn't notice her. But in this house built on thin walls, the truth will always seep, a slow burn that neither of them can walk away from.
