A short story for Aim To Engage II- fantasy prompt For years our relationship has been little warmer than the ice pack I study, yet her words crawl under my skin. I hide the sting of them beneath a shrug. "The evidence is impossible to ignore." "To bad you can't spell them into listening." I return to packing the items I need for my talk. "Magic is inaccessible to humans; only plants are affected by it." I can't stop from adding, "Not everyone finds my lectures as ineffective as you, Daughter."

What can you do when the date you have so carefully planned is canceled? Especially if the guy wanted to propose. Well he should have thought about that when he did shady things in his past.

Magic seeps into our reality and finds refuge in one little girl. Unfortunately, she doesn't know this and neither does anyone else, until she falls asleep during one of her classes. Was originally only for the 500 word prompt for Aim to Engage II, but I'm leaving it marked as ongoing. This will be continued and turned into a long novella or full novel. I will begin writing it in six-seven months and publishing the chapters on September 2019. Sorry for the long period, but until then, I will be working on-roughly-four novellas and three novels. Margo Sutton and her family have been invited to her step-aunt's wedding. Margo thought nothing of Jessica Raziel's and Gilbert Garcia's wedding until Gil was found dead on the beach of the venue. To make it worse, all the wedding guests are stuck at Cherub's House because of the horrible weather. And to Margo's shock, before it was Cheurb's House, it was Cherub's Hotel where a young woman named Gabriela Gael was killed over seventy years later.
