An old, oil lamp that Jace got for practically free wasn't actually supposed to have a Genie in it. It was supposed to be a paperweight or a bookend for his giant collection of books. But alas this story isn't about a paperweight or bookend. This story isn't about Jace's attempts to win the heart of the girl he has loved for years, or his search for the parents he was never old enough to know. This story is about a friendship between a chocolate haired Genie, resigned to a life of servitude, and a chocolate eyed pickpocket, desperate for a story of his own. Magic is all around us, we just have to have the courage to find it.

My own personal retelling of Disney's Aladdin. Ali Baba is the queen thief of Agrabah, stealing to survive...and then some. But when a run- in with the prince goes wrong, she is thrown into a war against Jafar, the Sultan's advisor whi somehow takes over and becomes a powerful sorcerer. Can this low time thief, a dethroned sultan and his son, 2 kids, and her sidekick Monkey save Agrabah, even with the aid of a magical talking tiger? Note: Some characters are gender swapped. If I makes mistakes with Arabian culture or language in any way please feel free to leave a suggestion to fix it in the comments. Story takes some inspiration by the twisted Tales book.
