You could say Charlie Spring is an outcast. His friend Aled doesn't really know why, and neither does his sister Tori, for that matter. You see, Charlie Spring is gay. Gay people aren't really well seen in Whitetiles. Perhaps that's why people don't want to hang out with Charlie and don't smile back at him. Perhaps that's why Charlie feels so alone. But when Nick Nelson suddenly appears in Whitetiles, Charlie's life changes. Nick Nelson is charming and lovely too. He does smile back at Charlie and doesn't really mind that he's gay. Nick Nelson is really wonderful. TW: eating disorders and self harm.
