...𝘢𝘯 𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘺, 𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘧 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘨𝘦, 𝘧𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦... In a land far away from the one we know lies a mighty empire, fallen in ruins. Elves ruled those lands once, governing all with peace and goodwill, striving to create a world of harmony as they united three mighty kindreds into one. Yet never would such beauty last for long. From the far south, a sorcerer lies in wait. He had once stirred up the arrogant so that they would betray their king, shattering the bonds of fellowship and brotherhood that had once held them together. And thus, with his evil cunning and malice, that sorcerer had destroyed the once glorious empire, throwing it down into the ashes and the smoke. Such great matters, it would seem, does not concern those of the world we think we live in, yet as three teenagers, with their own little differences, would see, maybe all the worlds of fantasy do also concern us, and fate would bring them to do great things, in a land that never even knew them... This was the very first story I ever wrote-something I initially created just to bring a smile to my friends' faces. I never imagined I'd one day share it publicly. But here I am, taking that leap and inviting you all to read mine. November 24, 1971 a man hijacks a twenty-eight minute flight from Portland, Oregon to Seattle, Washington. In a matter of hours this man will be known to the world as D.B. Cooper, the only criminal to have hijacked an airplane in the United States and never get caught. Cooper jumped out of that airplane with two hundred thousand dollars but was never seen or heard from again. None of the money ever popped up in circulation so why did he hijack the plane if not to spend the cash? Who was D.B. Cooper? What drove this man to hijack a plane? How did he evade the authorities for so long that the FBI has officially closed the case for lack of evidence? These questions will likely never be answered definitely, so let me tell you a story of how it might have gone instead... 5th place in the Philosopher Awards 2022 Historical Fiction Genre No part of this story may be used to program AI. On a solo summer retreat to a fog-laced coastal town, Michelle Shiori rents a charming seaside cottage with faded yellow shutters and the scent of salt lingering in every corner. All seems quiet until she discovers a weathered journal hidden behind a loose panel in the nightstand, its entries strangely familiar. Then, an unsettling poster appears in town: "Midnight Summer Theater : One Night Only." No date. No time. Just a stage waiting in the dark.

Fifteen Days of Almost I'm not writing these poems to be beautiful. I'm writing them because they're the only way I can take what's in my head, put it on paper, and see it for what it is. For fifteen days starting from 10/08/25 till 25/08/25 , I'll write exactly what I feel the thoughts I never said, the moments I noticed when no one else was looking, the tiny ways someone can change the air around you without even realising it. Maybe they'll never see this. Maybe they will. But I need to see it. I need to feel it. I need to know if what's in my chest is real, or just something I made up in my head. This isn't just poetry. It's my truth, laid out for the whole world and for myself.

Some strings can't be cut... even with fangs. Nobody at Shibuya Academy notices Ember Quinn-black eyeliner, shredded tights, hoodie pulled over her face like a curtain. Invisible. Forgettable. Even her parents, swallowed by their corporate lives, barely remember she exists. Until he arrives. Kai Mori - the transfer student with ash-pale skin, eyes like dying embers, and a smile that makes girls line up just to be ignored by him. He's all mystery and midnight, and Ember couldn't care less... until the day she sees him crouched behind the gym, fangs buried in the still-warm throat of a rabbit. She doesn't even have time to gasp before her back is against a tree, his cold hand around her throat. > "Scream," he says softly, "and I'll make sure it's your last." But just as she's about to cry out, something impossible happens- A crimson thread appears between them, glowing against the foggy air, trailing from her wrist to his. Kai stares at it in shock. The red string of fate. Ancient Japanese folklore says it ties destined lovers together, unbreakable and eternal. For a vampire, it's rarer than moonlight. And deadly. Now, she's bound to him-an emo girl who hates attention, and a blood-drinker who swears he doesn't believe in love. But fate doesn't care what they believe. It only cares that they burn together... or destroy each other.

Now I've woken up in a medieval fantasy world where everyone calls me "His Royal Highness"-and apparently, I'm the ridiculously handsome prince of a kingdom straight out of a manga. The catch? I still have every memory of my sad, pathetic past life. I used to be a nobody. Now? Everyone bows to me. The girls are obsessed. The knights call me "Your Majesty." And I'm supposed to save the kingdom from war? I just wanted to survive high school. Now I have to survive dragons, politics, and... royal romance? Not a love story - a coming-of-age in whispers, chaos, and quiet strength. They were never mine. Not even for a moment. But in the silence between shared glances and almost-conversations, they became chapters of my growing up. This isn't a love story. It's a story of almosts. Of boys I met in classrooms and corridors, in colonies and bus stops, who left behind echoes instead of promises. Told through memories and diary-like chapters, To All the Boys I Could Have Loved is a gentle walk through the unspoken - crushes that never bloomed, friendships that blurred lines, and the quiet strength of letting go with grace. The names are changed. But the emotions? They were real. Maybe, they'll feel like yours too. - Selena (The Moon) Stories written by The_Fire_Born But told by Selena.

Humor Me #26 Prompt (Winner) Dedicated to: @Humor Goldie was just trying to survive adulthood with her dying succulents, overused alarm ringtone, and caffeine addiction-when one morning, her world completely flips: her cat and dog start talking. Like, full-on sass, sarcasm, and surprisingly deep emotional baggage. Now Goldie's stuck in a never-ending sitcom featuring daily trauma dumps, family meetings about her ringtone, and lectures on why the dry food is "giving cardboard with trust issues." Between Lucky's influencer drama, Happy's emotional spiral, and Goldie's growing suspicion she's either dreaming or slowly losing her mind, one thing's clear: She may be the human in the house... but she is not the main character. FUR real, she needs a break!

Detective John Masters turned back to question the helpful civilian, but the man was no longer at his side. A grey-coated back was just disappearing into the alley beside the bank. The detective smiled grimly. He knew it was a dead end. He set off in pursuit, he had more than a few questions for that young man. He turned the corner and saw his quarry at the end of the alley. "Police!" he called. "Don't move!" Then the man disappeared, right before his eyes. One minute he was there, and the next second he wasn't. The alley was empty apart from a few pieces of rubbish, scarcely big enough to hide a rat.
