After yet another defeat in the League, Ash breaks down mentally. He felt this was the year he would win - even with the strong team of his - he managed to scupper on the final hurdle. However, his friends have been successful, Clemont getting recognised for his inventions and getting offered a role as Professor Sycamore's assistant and Serena becoming Kalos queen and famous worldwide and young Bonnie being tipped to be Lumious City gym leader.
