A Sci-Fi, Fantasy adventure set in the heart of south Oakland California, where we meet a gangster named Ezekiel "Zek" Watts. Who accidentally gets involved in a government conspiracy that hurls him through a series of events, with an unknown power. This power gives him the ability to control zombie like humans who were affected with a chemical released in the atmosphere. However, wee see that even though "Zek" loves his city, and the people in it. He is torn between saving the people he loves, or using his new power to over throw the government and create his own democracy.

Ever vigilant, Connell resisted their theories of his birthmark and his purpose in life. His strenuous code of cynicism left no room for trust, friendships, or patience. However, this new group of misfits, who were shrouded in secrecy, had a plan to convince him to accept his fate. Filled with everyday struggles a young adult faces such as intimidation, acceptance, fear, and love. Red Moon, White Moon follows Connell through a plethora of distress and chaos, leading up to the final climactic realization that may lead him to his own demise.

I've been working on a new version of my previously self-published novel, Keeper of the Scale, for awhile now -- and it is ready to be re-released and introduced here as a serial on Wattpad! It will have a new look and a new name, but the same quirky characters and story line, revised based on wonderful feedback over the years from readers all over the world, and the recent opportunity to work with a talented editor. This book is a collection of short stories that I have been told, experienced or overheard throughout my upbringing about my families unconventional history. In an unfolding story told in fragments that are not in chronological order, readers will begin to understand and experience how I felt as I began to piece together how my family got to where they are today and the motives for their loving yet also often destructive behaviors. This content is a retelling of a true Mexican American family that is told without exaggeration or censorship. Due to the stories being true some chapters may span between 5-8 paragraph while others may only be one paragraph. THE STORIES CAN BE READ IN ANY ORDER HOWEVER THE BEST READING EXPERIENCE IS THROUGH CHRONILOGICAL ORDER AS THEIR ARE REFERENCES MADE TO PREVIOUS CHAPTERS. The NAMES will be changed to protect any real identities. I will update the book with new stories as I continue writing.
