Mary Washington, the very daughter of George Washington, is persuaded to attend Philip Schuyler's Winter Ball by the infamously beautiful Schuyler sisters, and although it seems as if all the attention by their male counterparts are on the sisters, she catches the eye of America's favorite fightin' Frenchman a mere two weeks before he and his crew are to be sent out to war.
