Christopher Telam did not want to be immortal. He wanted to remain in his house with his family, reading books and continuing his education. But when faced with a series of challenging family events, he's left with little desire to fight back as he's turned into a vampire. This story explores the experiences of a man who was too young to experience normal life when he was alive and is too naive to understand the alternative he's been presented with.

I turned from the demonic sream and was faced with the one person that everyone wishes to be near...Lestat. I looked at the ground as he circled around me "silent one aren't you" he said while stopping in front of me. I looked up at him with a blank face "so...your real?" I asked him "yes...I am what I say I am" he said with a dark smirk. I took deep breaths to keep myself calm "what's your name?" He asked walking toward me. I took a deep breath when he pushed me agents the brick wall 'I'm going to die....this is it for Emily Hail' I thought while looking into his eyes and saw nothing by hunger.
