Ever needed a different way - sort of - to see the world? Life's already so tough and sometimes, to see reality, we need to get away from reality. That's why in this new project of ours, WNI brings to you an anthology of short stories and poems. These pieces, written and crafted by a group of two writers to one piece, are based off various themes including, but not limited to; self-love and acceptance, societal vices, family, friendship and so on. The themes mentioned are, without doubt, very important in this generation. As they are things we face, both young and old. That's why we hope we would do a very good job of making you see them, from a perspective that's just not yours alone. So, get yourself prepared, it's going to be one hell of a ride.

Aaron was my best friend who sadly lost his long battle against depression in January of 2016. This is a story of poems for him, something I can add to as I feel them. Hopefully something that can help many who suffer from depression such as Aaron did. Enjoy!

Written for an English class, Broken Things is a short story about depression and how it and mental illness can sometimes be romanticized; made out to be more than it is. A person with mental illness can sometimes be seen as special or more interesting. This can sometimes inflame the negative attributes to whatever illness a person is afflicted with. Broken Things reinforces the message that broken things are not beautiful; that death is not beautiful. A wanted ending, a new beginning, a hope, a dream, a heavy thought.

I have been through the downsides of life countless times and many times the desperate thought of escaping has stabbed at the back of my mind as well. I have come up with a few thoughts to fight off this thought and I hope it will help somebody else!
