Ashley is the standard issue of an anti-social, unimportant teenage girl. That is, until one day she wakes up in the middle of nowhere, the size of a toddler, with freaking amazing hair, somehow as an elf(ling) and with no idea how to get home. And the last, I repeat last, thing she needs is to be found by a certain company of dwarves, ironically after a certain group of goblins, and get involved in a stupid conflict. Sure she would love to help out, but did she mention everyone is a complete idiot?!? She may have loved the hobbit book, but in this weird world that cant seem to decide if its that or the movie she just needs a break, and somebody to invent pizza already. Can she ever return home, and the bigger question, will she want too? A secrete past will be revealed, and friends new and old shall appear. Last, but not least, damn the stupid Valar! This is a second attempt at this story, and is set in a cross between the hobbit movies and books. Spoilers for all things Tolkien and some curses and violence. First book, so any comments or advice would be welcome + plus like me and I will love you forever.

This tale was the winner of the "Runes of Daeron" Contest, made by the Conselho Branco - Sociedade Tolkien - a non-profit brazilian organization created to study and publicize the fantastic work of writer, professor and philologist J.R.R. Tolkien. It was published in issue 22 of the Council's newsletter, "O Palantir", in 2012. As a big fan, it's an honor for me. The tale accompanies the conversations of a Balrog with the elf Fëanor. In the mythology created by Tolkien in The Silmarillion, Fëanor rebelled against the gods, and after his death his cursed spirit retreated into the halls of Mandos and never returned to his relatives. The Balrog (also known as Valarauko) decides to tell his story, from the origin of the world, to the elf, because he thinks it will make a difference in his life.

After reaching his land near the northern part of the Forest-river, Thranduil's mind and heart are full of memories, sorrows, and regrets. But instead of crying for himself, he heard someone cry for him. The crying sound of an elleth. Who would that be? I assure you this fanfic is 100% my idea supported by stories from Tolkien ofc, hopefully, there'll be some unexpected plot twist, but please don't expect too much haha. Anyway, all characters that are not mine (original characters) are fully Tolkien's.

Story of an elf in second age of middle-earth during "The hobbit". This story does not affect the story of "Bilbo" more than the character meeting him in rivendale and does not take place with the dwarfs and hobbit.

It's her last chance to make amends in that world, before she starts burning up her body at birth. With every cycle past, her mortal form in Arda grows that much more unstable, giving her that much shorter of a life before she turns her body to ash. Her soul is too strong, and too ill-suited for that which she reincarnates into. Still, her good deed to complete in that lifetime is fairly simple - she just needs to get one Frodo Baggins and what he carries to Rivendell with the aid of her chieftain. A simple task, no?
