Uther would always set up Arthur with princesses but every single time, Arthur would make up excuses to why he doesn't want to be with them. Uther then decides that he will set him up with a prince to see if he will still make excuses. Arthur was still mad when his father told him this but when he met the prince, Merlin, he said that he will give it a go. Merlin also didn't know how he felt about this considering that Camelot didn't accept magic in their kingdom. Uther was desperate to get Arthur either a prince or princess to rule with him when he dies. So, he lifts the ban on magic since he knows that Merlin isn't evil and that his kingdom is extremely strong. What will happen when they are forced to spend most of their time together and actually bond?

this is a story of wut I thought should've happen in episode 4 season 1 of "Merlin" in the first chapter.. This is a merthur story set in modern times. Camelot is a city that does not allow lgbt+ peeps. I don't know about you but every time I look up a map of Albion to look at the surrounding kingdoms that shared a boarder with Camelot, I find a good map very hard to find, either the maps super blury, it doesn't do all the British Isles, or the text on each kingdom is hard to read, so I made my own. Attached is a photo of a print out of the Isles and a map of Albion that I colour coded and relabelled so that Kingdom's names were easier to read.
