Nobody really knows what happened and when and how the guardians arrived. Nobody who was alive then is alive to tell the tale now. There's many stories of how they came, it is your choice to believe which one is true. The guardians are creatures who roam at night, but can be spotted in the day. The guardians are inactive unless you're going somewhere or doing something that isn't allowed. Past sunset, not even the bravest dare to be outside. Anyone who does dare to be out at night never live to tell the tale. There's no screams, no commotion, no noise. Nobody truly knows what happens. The only thing that can give any hints are the deformed bodies in the trees. So if you plan to eat fruit from any of the trees, beware of any strange fruit you see.
