A storm had rolled in. The wind was strong and ripped leaves and baby branches from the trees. Lightning flashed behind the demon skull, lighting the empty eye sockets and the old statue on top. The rain poured down in sheets, filling up the dirt roads and flooding the rivers. A light flickered deep in the forest outside the border. Mother is unconcerned about it all, the blossoms and the stars telling her good things will come of it. knock-knock-knock Mother looks up from the wood she was carving. She opens the door and there stood the outcast of Hage, Yuno. "Medicine Mother, please help me on my way," Yuno pleads through her sobs. Mother blinks and looks back at the fallen blossoms still on her table. She turns back and stares into terrified gold eyes, hearing the angry cries beneath the booming thunder. Good things will come of this storm. Not just for her, it seems. - Or, what if there lived a shaman in Hage who took in Yuno as a student? What if Hage hated (is scared of) Yuno for having so much more magic than the rest of them? What if magic was a lot more entwined with the world than what people thought? This story comes to be, apparently. - A horrible summary, but a new story, this time in the POV of Yuno! Woo! Honestly, Yuno is kind of underrated (which, fair. He isn't the main character) but I wish there was more fics surrounding him as if he was the main character (though, that doesn't mean I want him specifically to be Wizard King). And I wanted to do a girl!Yuno story since apparently there's either so few or no fics at all with the tag to warrant it not being made. I hope you all enjoy! Updates will be posted on Fridays.
