At the age of thirty-one, Bryce Moore had resigned himself to a life as a hopeless bachelor- clumsy, self-deprecating, and spectacularly prone to social blunders. That was before his mother introduced him to Danielle Wright: brilliant, poised, and seemingly unimpressed by him. From awkward to downright mortifying encounters and endless self-sabotage, sparks fly- whether they realize it or not. Can he survive his own ridiculousness long enough to finally settle down? Or is he doomed to a life of being the Best Man, but never the Groom?

Title: Accidentally Close Have you ever lived next door to a quiet so deep it felt like a second skin? I did. My world was measured in routines, in the space between sounds, in the comfort of knowing exactly what each day would hold. My apartment was my sanctuary, and silence was my oldest friend. Then, the universe sent a hurricane. She didn't mean to be one. She just... was. Sunshine in human form, with a voice that painted color on my grey walls and a laugh that rewired my understanding of quiet. She moved in next door, and with her came the beautiful, terrifying noise of a life being lived out loud. Our story didn't start with a hello. It started with a shared flinch, a mutual surprise. It started with the unsettling, electric feeling of your peaceful existence gently-and then not so gently-tilted off its axis. This is the tale of two opposites separated by one thin wall. It's about the quiet spaces between words, the loud meaning of accidental gestures, and the unexpected magic that happens when a sanctuary of silence meets a force of nature who doesn't know how to knock. Welcome to the collision. Welcome to the quiet, the chaos, and everything in between.

"Most kids can't answer their favorite things, but I can! My favorite color is purple! No, lavender. I want to be a pilot or a fashion designer when I grow up. I love to eat French fries!!" A young Nayvie chirped, during her routine check in with her doctor. Missing a few teeth, she smiled brightly; beaming like the sun over the ocean during a sunset; gleaming and impossible to miss. Nayvie Kenyi, an awkward, charismatic, intelligent, kind-fifteen-year-old girl. African American, with dark skin, the brownest eyes, signature bohemian braids, coordinated outfits, jokes, intellect, awkwardness, and originality. She comes from a family of designers; denim creators, with a substantial business in the jean industry; fashion is in her blood. And so is her love for art and creativity; expressing herself however she knows how, despite her being colorblind; instead of letting it define her as the odd one out in a family full of creative innovators, she adapted her own brand and shone through what she knew best: the color purple. The color she'd always answered to, gifts she'd ask for, she even painted her room walls purple; it's who she is. People have signatures, things they're known for, their thing. Lavender; purple, would always be hers, right? As the beginning of the school year approaches, she realizes the inevitable change that high school brings, a flight of emotions that turns her into an unexpected version of herself; new interests, friends, growth, relationships, ideas, and eventually acceptance. Emotions she didn't anticipate begin to paint her world in colors she never imagined. Nayvie's challenge isn't just surviving change-it's learning to soar, to propel herself forward, even when the waves of teenage life threaten to pull her under.

In the heart of Birmingham, where the call from the masjid drifts through narrow streets and warm evening air, a girl named Mahrosh grows up with quiet eyes that see more than they should and a heart that beats just a little too fast for reasons she does not yet understand. She has known Faris Jameel since childhood - the boy who always stood apart, calm and distant, watching the world in silence while she and his sister filled it with laughter and chatter. Over the years, her small, childish crush begins to change, deepening into something she cannot name, something that follows her through Qur'an classes at the masjid and long evenings in the community hall, where faith and familiarity blend into something tender. Faris grows older, taller, quieter, and she learns that love can be gentle and aching all at once. Theirs is not a story of declarations or dramatic turns, but of moments that linger - glances that last too long, prayers whispered under the same roof, and the quiet, unspoken bond that time and faith keep weaving between them.

What is unrequited love? For Kavya, it shaped her entire school life...and even in adulthood, it lingers, a memory that began as a sting but softened into something sweet and unforgettable. _ Kavya's heart was learning its first hard truth. Unrequited love isn't dramatic... it's quiet. It's a series of almosts, the what ifs, the hopes you never voice. It's loving someone silently, privately- for yourself, not for the world, and not for him. _ A tender, nostalgic story about the ache of unrequited love, the innocence of youth, and the unexpected comfort found in moving forward. A short story.

I honestly don't know what to make the synopsis for this one because I'm kind of making it up as I go along. Full disclosure, this may turn batshit insane at any given point because I don't know what I'm doing but love this ship too much and have gotten in too deep to stop now. Mostly Saimota (Shuichi x Kaito from V3), but there might be some other ships thrown in there. I'm not going to do that thing where I'm all like 'oh this is so cringy don't read xD' because I honestly can't tell if this is cringy or not, so let me know. I will probably start crying if it is, but everything makes me cry, so don't hesitate. Come at me. You won't. My consistency with this has gone to shit, but I'll try to update at least once a week. The cover is another piece of fanart I stole because I literally couldn't find the original artist. Sorry, man.

1.Hot British guy moves in next door 2.Naked girl falls in a bush 3.Naked girl hates British guy 4.Naked girl loves British guy 5.British guy says bye-bye (I think) This doesn't make sense, but neither does this story... Read if your mind can keep up. P.S. This is the closest I've ever gotten to publishing, and this story probably shouldn't see the light of day... It's nowhere near perfect, but I promise you won't forget it. ;)

In a quiet countryside town where nothing ever changes-not the train schedule, not the school lunch menu, not even the gossip. Second-year student Sora Inoue thinks he has every week of his life mapped out. That is, until one afternoon, he crosses paths with a girl he's never seen before... a girl with long, sunlit braids that sway like golden ropes in the breeze. He only catches a glimpse - enough to walk headfirst into a utility pole - but assumes she must be a tourist. After all, nobody interesting ever transfers into his rural school. So imagine his shock when the girl steps into his homeroom in the new term. Except... her hair is completely different. No long braids. No beads. Just neat, shoulder-length twists tied into two playful buns. The girl introduces herself - in a crisp British accent - as: "Heather Thompson. Exchange student from Manchester. Please treat me kindly!" From that moment on, Sora's orderly world unravels. Heather appears each day with a new hairstyle-cornrows, box braids, butterfly locs, knotless braids, braided wolf cut. Each one more dazzling (and more confusing) than the last. Sora becomes fascinated... but also terrified of accidentally offending her. As he slowly, hilariously, and awkwardly attempts to understand Heather - and her hair - he finds himself drawn not to any one style, but to the girl beneath them: bold, warm, clever, and endlessly surprising. Between rice-paddy sunsets, awkward cultural misunderstandings, hair-related chaos, and a growing crush he is completely unequipped to deal with, Sora's boring countryside life becomes a rom-com he never asked for... but maybe always needed. Because sometimes love doesn't begin with a spark - it begins with a braid.
